Training Def Pure - What To Wear?

Ok, im surrently making a def pure, current lvls are 1 attk, 1 str, 36 def, 26 hp. Now im currently a member and i wanted to know peoples opinions on stuff i should have equiped. I need to know what:

ring?
Boots?
Ammy?
Gloves?
Cape?
Shield?
Weapon?


I only want stuff thats gona make me hit more often etc, i dont want anything purely for looks.....
I must be able to wear/wield the item at my lvls, or atleast by the time im 40 def...

Depends, if you want to raise alittle bit of mage xp.. if so set on defensive and mage the lessers in wizards tower or any other spot where you wont get hit!

please note: from 36-40 def will get you to just under 25 magic.. so you can tele to varrock =)

 

ring - Zerker ring (+4 str)
Boots - Rune boots (+2 str)
Ammy - Fury/str (+8 str for fury and +10 for str but fury has slash bonuses, etc)
Gloves - Umm... Leather? Can't do RFD so...
Cape - Obby I geuss. Can't get fire cape
Shield - Can't get defenders, unholy book or obby sheild. Rune kite at 40 def and obby at 60
Weapon - Umm idk about this for sure. I geuss iron scim.

This brings you to a total of 14 or 16 str bonuses. You won't hit very hard but it's better than like f2p. Might want to see if there are and quests where you don't need to fight but you get only def rewards. Don't know if there are.
