Idea To Prevent Chargebacks: Would it Work?

So paypal trading is very risky because of chargebacks, especially when you are dealing with users without any reputation.

So I had an idea that would prevent them from happening, but I was wondering if it would work or not:

Let's say that you're selling 1B gold for idk, a thousand dollars through paypal.
What if you were to mail the buyer a worthless entity like a piece of paper, and have the buyer write that he is agreeing to buying a piece of paper for 1K$?

It would be recognized as a piece of paper that came with free 1B gold.

Would this work?

 

yeah, it would.

cause then you would be able to provide a tracking number. however, u would have to send it as a package. couldn't just send a piece of mail, i think.

Unauthorized payment, still can be chargedback.
Would prevent the "I didnt recieve my item" chargeback, but just telling PayPal that it is for virtual goods on the note when they send the money also does that.

 

From what I've learned, paypal doesn't like virtual trades, and the person who makes a chargeback in a paypal virtual trade loses.

But yeah, unauthorized payments...

 

This idea could work if they have a confirmed address. You must send the letter within 7 days of the transaction being made otherwise it is invalid. If PayPal finds that there was indeed unauthorised access to the account they will cover the loss. However if the address is unconfirmed they may not.

 

Seems like it would work based on this: https://www.paypal.com/ca/webapps/mpp/security/seller-protection-learn-more. They say they'll cover the loss of even unauthorized transactions if its a tangible good and you meet the other conditions in that link.

 

I've used to do this with LoL accounts on eBay. I would physically send them a item (random) with *free Gold/Plat* account. I've also had some chargeback/unauthorized charge but it's really based on whoever is handling your case. You might get a assfuck who doesn't care about you and give the money back or you might get someone who will actually review the whole thing.

 

I'm pretty sure that it would work, you may want to call a Paypal Customer Service Representative to talk about it and see if that would work. The plan you have sounds as if it'd work, but as stated above, it depends who is handling the case.

 

If you send the piece of paper to the listed shipping address, surely it wasn't unauthorized. Although they could claim the piece of paper was not as described i guess, lol.

 

what about: i make a unverified paypal account with proxi, then i immediately send the money to my normal paypal account. What would happen?

 

You can add more than 1 delivery address to your PayPal account

 

There's a difference between "gift" shipping addresses and "primary" shipping addresses.

 

Once your 'throw away' account is negative and limited they'll link it to your main paypal and limit that too.

because you'd constantly send money to it and nowhere else. Also they would usually put a hold on all the payments once they see something suspicious is going on.

I think the only way u could prevent chargebacks is to have them email you a government issued ID, so if they claim unauthorized, you show them paypal the id

 

Chargebacks are prevented by verifying the buyer is the owner of the credit card/account he is using, and by collecting proof that you have sold an item.

A 100% sure way to avoid a chargeback is have the buyer mail you a signed document where he consents to buy an item and have him send you a copy of his ID.
