For EpicBot...

So today i download epicbot (Old School) on my laptop,
"I Download it from Epicbot.com" then come a message from my antivirus it say. ​

Maybe its only me with this problem (can anyone explane me do what i need to.
do i need turn off my antivirus? its safe to use Epicbot now?.​

That's why I don't use it anymore, I don't want that shit what it comes with the Installation of the bot

This is due the PUPs that come with the installer. The installer offers other programs that can be installed, but you can easily decline those.

 

Not a big deal at all, lots of anti virus programs have false positives for all sorts of software that works just fine.
I've never even heard of that antivirus program before, I'd get Avast, Malware Bytes, or Microsoft Security Essentials (or all 3).
Epcibot has a bit of adware/bloatware built into its installer, but I doubt it has anything malicious in it, it's been around and used by thousands of people for years.

 

Yes, but the fact that the installer contains any of that kind of software at all is just plain ridiculous. Anyone who has the knowledge to make a bot client should have the knowledge to create an installer that is clean of everything except the bot itself. I know for fact it's possible, Adam from RiD made one years ago.

 

They just have extra adware inside the install to make some extra money, the companies pay them to put it in, and of course will trigger off some anti-virus programs, but it doesn't mean they are malicious.

 

I'm well aware of their monetary gains from doing this. I also never said the software was malicious. My point is that EpicBot is making money off of this at the expense of their users.. which imo is a really shitty thing to do. In my eyes it massively lowers my respect for anyone who works there.

 

Pretty sure you can just uncheck the boxes and not have the adware get installed. Kinda sleazy I guess, but anyone know's semi-decent at computers should know to uncheck the boxes. Not like it's a virus or anything, just an annoyance, but yea, it's kinda sleazy.

For panda antivirus i think is on top 10 of the best antivirus i use it only for my laptop on my pc i got another, othis thread was for (EPICBOT OLD School) i have frends they use epicbot on pre eoc and dont have any trouble with it but thanks for your answer.
