Braces

I'm pretty sure that I'm not having braces for 30 years. Some people wouldn't mind waiting, as long as it is straight/nice looking to them.

 

I had braces for about 4 years and just got them off in November, I had rubber bands and hated them. The worst thing about braces was for the first day when they would tighten them, Wouldnt be able to really eat anything.

 

I got used to them tightening my teeth. Well if it was a new tightening, I hate it because it's a new form a pressure. Rubber bands are a pain in the butt.

 

I wished I had braces but unfortunately, they are quite expensive and you must never had gotten a cavity. Getting perfect teth( straight teeth) + cavities which lead to root canals is a waste of money.

 

I had braces in middle school. It's so nice to have them done at an early age because I barely remember having to deal with them lol

 

I got really lucky with my teeth. Dentists have asked me if i had braces because they are so straight My sister got those invisaline braces.

 

Oh man. I had braces for 3 years. End of junior high till sophomore. It honestly felt like my mouth was huge having them. I never liked to smile with my teeth and always ended up smiling with my mouth closed.

It made me look like I had fish lips. :$ It was worth it in the end though. After finally removing them on the 3rd year, I had a great smile and looked really good too! ^_^

 

I want to get braces , people tell me I have nice teeth but im not really confident.

 

Does your mouth feel bigger now from the braces?

 

Nope, as soon as I had my braces removed, my mouth was back to its normal self. I'm glad that phase of my life is over haha.

 

The braces had been in your mouth for couple of years though. Wouldn't your lips/mouth feel bigger from the braces throughout the months/years? I thought it would affect it.

 

i might need braces soon, but i don't think i'll need them for more than 1 year guess i am lucky ^_^

 

It felt and looked bigger wearing them but after I got them removed they looked normal again.

 

I had to go through 4 top pallet surgeries, a lip bumper, pallet expander and a gum graft for my front teeth.

4 years of braces after that! I would honestly say that rubber bands were the worst part of it for me. Especially keeping track of the band/popping them.

 

I have to agree on you with the rubber bands. I wore them religiously after the first few months and kinda stopped.. Shouldn't have stopped though because every time I went to the ortho, I was given even thicker bands.

The absolute worst thing was having them snap in your mouth. Just horrible.

 

Yes, rubber bands are the worst! I only popped a rubber band once in my mouth. I think I'm going to need longer than 4 years.
