how many views people make?

I like the idea on powerbot how it shows how many times a person has been viewing threads. I for one spend 3-4 hours on sythe a day so i'm active but i rarely actually makes posts as you can see from my post count. I think that having a system that shows how many times people have viewed different things would be another good indicator of how active people are. Sorry if this doesn't make much sense, i'm quite tired at the moment.

If you view a thread doesn't mean that you actually read it or that it's realated to you in some way. This will only mislead new users.
I am too a user that reads more than writes on this site and watching some forums a lot of hours daily, but this isn't fair to the users that are actually implicated in the thread's subject.

 

It seems unnecessary to me.

To smart traders, posts and trust don't necessarily go hand in hand (for newcomers especially, I'd much rather trade someone with 0-2 posts per day than someone with 5+). The same would be true for hours spent lurking; I wouldn't be more inclined to trust a lurker than some random person. It's all about vouches and the quality of those vouches, so implementing this suggestion would be something along the lines of adding a random feature for a bit of fun at best.

If it came into play and people started using it for a reason to trust another user you'd see bots being brought into play that would just open topics/close topics all day long.

Think it is useless, and doesn't effect anything. Don't really see how it would benefit sythe.

 

Sorry, no support. You just just go through random threads without even reading them and gain view count. This would be very misleading

 

Only benefit i can think of is you could check how many times your competition views your thread. What about when guests view the thread? it would say guest viewed 209090930909048343854694645 times.
