About to quest defence on zerk. Should I do Holy Grail? 07

I've heard alot of people tell me do holy grail it's good to level up prayer so you don't have to spend money blah blah blah... But is it really worth it? That one quest I could have completed another 5 different defence xp quest and just spend an extra 400-500k to get my prayer up? So what do you think I should do?
Should I leave holy grail and do other quest because you never know there might be a new item or an update that requires the other quests to get it?
I don't want to just rush into and destroy my juicy zerker.

I have been having a look around and most say for you to do holy grail. so I don't see any wrong doing it

 

don't do it. The increased combat levels mean that you have to use prayer to fight someone with the same combat level who has no prayer.

 

I'm 43 Prayer at the moment and going to get 52 for smite/barrelchest anchor so that's not a problem..

And yes I don't think there is a problem with doing it but you can do more quests this other way, I am really unsure on what to do from here..

 

Alright well make sure when going for anchor, that you get it by 50 prayer as the reward will get you 53 if you're already 52.

DONT DO IT!, you gain nothing from doing it, its useless and its better to do smaller def xp quests for faster qp if you want 45 def anyway, you will be 42 defence with barrow gloves if you quest it all

 

I did it on my zerker, but it really doesn't make a difference compared to doing all of the tedious other quests that give a very small amount of def exp.

If I don't do Holy Grail these are the only optional quest I can do:
In Aid of the Myreque
In Search of the Myreque
A Soul's Bane
Between A Rock
What Lies Below
I will then be 44 Defence and will have to train the remainder xp which I never wanted to do but there's is no other quests left.. But good news is I do have a big chunk of xp left for mistakes..

Doing the other quests have more benefits, but it's more questing and time. It's up to you. When I did my zerker I did the Myreque's and Holy grail.

 

I personally did it, as like you I calculated what quests I needed, and what ones were optional. Of my optionals, this gave the most reward without putting me over 45 def. IMO worth.

I need prayer to smite dem juicy whips + fcape

 

yeah why not, prayer is helpfull and its always nice to get one of them smites ;p
