    Don't own one, but I played my cousin's ps4 a few times.

As a console it's good. Smaller than you'd expect, lightweight. Ugly looking and not intuitive, it took us 15 minutes to find the power button on the console when he first got it. It's the small things... But there are just some things you shouldn't make discreet and subtle. And the power button isn't the only problem there. The interface could be easier to use too.

As for the performance, it's certainly world better than the Xbox slim, and probably better than the xbox one, but I haven't played the one, just going off the specs. Does that make it worth it though? No. I can build a faster, longer lasting, inherently more versatile computer; and when it gets out dated like the ps4 is obviously going to be, I can spend $200 to upgrade it right back to a updated model, instead of paying $500+ for a whole new console.

No hardware faults. It's all pretty high quality stuff. Software could be more intuitive, but there are no flaws

I own the Xbox One, and PS4, and Sony's console is certainly better for games. I haven't experienced and lag on battlefield 4, which is more hardware hungry than probably any other game thats out for it. Everything about it is pretty smooth.
If you don't already own a higher end pc, its a good buy.
