This thread pissed me off so much. The non-points you guys are making are laughable.

Problem: Jack shouldn't be pardoned because he only came out after thinking it was safe.

Answer: As opposed to what? Not coming out at all. Dude's could've gotten away with it completely had he not come forward with it. The victim was basically a non-entity on this site. Jack was the only person who knew the truth, and there was almost no chance of getting caught. The pardon system is supposed to judge ones character. Jack just put himself $275 in arrears because he felt guilty. I don't know of many better candidates for a pardon

Problem: This just means that people will establish themselves on the site before pardoning.

Answer: This is a valid point, except in Jack's case it's a non issue because he was basically never going to get caught. He's come out knowing there's a high chance he's going to lose his official MM rank. Remember kids, he never had to come out and say what he did.


Problem: He should be punished for what he did.

Answer: The punishment has already been given, he's lost his motherfucking OMM rank.


Problem: Partial pardons aren't permitted.

Answer: Well this is an extremely rare case involving an OMM. Special cases get special consideration. Besides, the likely outcome is hardly a partial pardon anyway.

Problem: Once a scammer, always a scammer

Answer: Say that to N4n0.

Problem: People get banned for things less serious than scamming

Answer: Not many users have contributed to this site the way Jack has. He deserves to get pardoned for what he's done since, and the circumstances regarding the way he came out should definitely be taken into account.

He came out on his own will and admitted to something he'd never be caught for. That takes guts (especially when he had a reputable rank such as OMM) which I'm sure 75% of the posters in this topic wouldn't be capable of doing. I'd bet half of you have some sort of shady past here on Sythe in one way or another.

This is actually the only smartest thing I have ever seen you post. However, I agree he should get a pardon but I feel that he should not get it 'today' but should get it 6 months from now and be able to reapply for mmo at that time as well. He went 3 years without remorse, he should be at least punished for 6 months.

Why is this still going on? Removing his omm title isn't even a punishment. How many mm trades has he done after he's gotten omm? 1? Look, he should serve the same fate as asap and return in 6 months for another pardon. Who gives a flying fuck if he came out knowing he was the only person who knew about the situation, some time should be served.

 

As I stated before, I have no information in regards to N4N0's situation. Therefore, I cannot weigh-in comments about it. However, this is about JG and what I know thus far. Furthermore, this doesn't make me an idiot or stupid. It's smart to talk about the facts I do know than to believe in herese. You, Syde and a random few others all-knowingly judge without knowing facts (about me), you've already proven you're idots.

 

Though I actually don't care about the outcome of his pardon, this should be the case. Losing omm can't even be called a slap on the wrist. Serve a ban time. It doesn't even have to break the "no stipulations" clause in the pardon rules. Deny this one and accept the next one 6 months from now imo. N3n0 spent banned time, ASAPgang, etc and so forth.
