what is your best in real life merch/flip?

personally, I got extremely lucky 5 months ago when I went to a closing video store in my town. I knew the owner and saw a few old Nintendo 64 games I had been searching for for ages, called castlevania, legacy of darkness, along with legend of Zelda. I asked him how much he wanted for them, he said 5$ plus tax for each. I got home, played them, etc... I later looked up their street value, and castlevania is worth 300$, while Zelda is supposedly 200$+(has muslim chanting in fire temple background). I have not sold them because they bring me a lot of memories for me, but yeah that's my story.

So my question is, has anything similar ever happened to you? or maybe you do this on a daily; if so, what is the biggest profit you've gotten from this?

 

Got an iPhone for free and sold it for $200

 

i bought an 05 gmc sierra for $10,000, spend like $1100 (a little bodywork, put some cool tow mirrors on it, o2 sensor) on it, drove it for a year, sold it $12,750 to some guy with a phd in cancer research, for a profit of around $1600

 

I started buying/selling lawn tractors a few years ago. I started with a 100$ budget and bought, fixed and sold over 15 in a summer and ended up with a 2008 Craftsman and a Honda Big Red 250 in the back yard.

Love it. Not really all in one merch though, so not sure if it counts.

When I was deployed I bought about 10 gems, a lot of tourmaline, and some red stones I thought were rubies...or maybe just glass haha. I paid just about 30USD for all of them haha. Anyway as it turns out the tourmaline was real, and the red stones were actually padparadscha sapphires which are worth oodles of cash, each stone is just over 1 karat. I didn't sell them though, I got them set in some custom pieces for my girlfriend!

Its almost carb issues with the stuff I find. Quick rebuild and some starting fluid and most little 2 strokes will start right up. Good money in this as most people who arent mechanically inclined will let "broken" stuff go cheap or better yet free.

 

Today I just sold my 2002 Bettle that I bought in December. Bought for $1200 just sold for $2700. Probably the best I've ever done, without counting Storage auctions.

Well I know for a fact the two set in the pieces are Oval Mixed Cut. My buddy said he really couldn't tell me a specific price on them and he'd have to send them in to someone he knows in NYC (I live on Long Island). Both of them were somewhere around 1.08 karats? And he said he could safely say over $1500 a piece. (my buddy's a gemologist)

Upgrading to the newest phone every year with AT&T ( after one year of service, I sign up a new contract) and then getting the activation fee waived and the phone price reduced. Then resell it for MSRP off contract price since the demand is VERY high.

Samsung Galaxy S5, iPhone 6 are gonna be CRAY.
