You said your old computer died? I suggest you just keep your old mouse/keyboard and invest in a more better mouse/keyboard in the future. I don't like MSI product that much but that's a personal opinion. I also suggest you get a SSD instead of a HDD just because it's just better. If your going to keep the HDD then I suggest you invest in a SSD in the future and use the HDD as a secondary storage device when you buy a SSD.

 

My old computer was a laptop, and SSDs are SO much more expensive than HDD's.. I'll look into getting an SSD as a slave drive (if they work that way, idk much about it) later, but HDDs work fine for me now

An SSD is good but not essential. You'll be fine with a WD Black HDD 7200 RPM drive. But even the cheapest SSD will outperform the most powerful HDD (in most cases.) You could use the SSD for the OS only and the HDD for storing all your games, music, porn and so on.

If you have more $ to spend, go for an SSD or look at upgrading your GPU more.

I have Assassin's Creed IV and its very good.

i5 is fine, i7 is mainly for show offs unless you do A LOT of multitasking.

I have the same monitor as you I think, it looks + works great.

Mouse and keyboard is fine but a standard $20 Microsoft keyboard + mouse is fine. Gaming keyboards are mainly just light up keys and custom macro keys.

You Can easily build your own computer for 600-700$ and it would cost around 1500-2000$ if you bought from a store.Amd > intel

 

Might consider actually looking at the thread next time, that's clearly what he's intending to do. Also in what world is AMD better than intel at least in terms of higher end components?

 

Okay, Intel is just paying for the brand name you can buy a perfect 8-core AMD Processor and it will be around [email protected]~ and the intel i7 Quad core 4th gen cost around 300~ @ 3.4GHZ

 

Get your amd/intel fanboy dispute out of here if you're not going to help me find wireless headsets for cheap. I literally don't care which is better. Intel had more positive reviews so that's what I chose

Are you still looking for a wireless headset? How cheap do you call cheap? Corsair just released the Vengeance 2100 Wireless Headset for about $125 that I am currently testing out.

Great choice on the monitor! You could save quite a bit on going with an AMD 8 Core rather than the i5 processor, and some of the FX-8000 series chips are better or at least on par with the 3570k. You'd also save some money switching to the AM3+ Mobo that you'd need for the AMD CPU. You also don't necessarily need the full 750W Power Supply with that setup unless you're thinking about adding a second graphics card in the future. A 600-650W Would do just fine and save you about $40, however you are getting the 750 for a decent price.

its hard to find a good wireless headset for under 75 if you are wanting quality.

 

I found one for 25 dollars. Good sound quality, the mic is alright, but the ear pads are small, so it presses on my ear cartilage and hurts after a while but ill get used to it. It has massive range, at least 20ft, and the battery has outlasted my iphone's so I think it's a keeper.

At serenade, I do plan I getting another card, I have four monitors that I want to set up eventually, one being my 47" tv
