I was lucky enough to never need braces

 

Im having my braces removed in 6 months,You get used to braces and any new changes after a month. And straight teeth are worth it. I might upload before and after pictures of my braces and ya'll can see how much they have fixed my teeth

 

I wish my braces wouldn't break as often as they do. It has becomes so frequent that I think the dentist botched the procedure.

Also, I miss stuffing my face with the crunchest, crispiest foods out there. As soon as these are off, I'm going to chew all the ice in my freezer.

 

I would like to see a before and after .

 

Lol same. I don't really care though since bottom teeth are never really showing unless you have an evil grin.

 

Who finds braces attractive? I do. I'm probably just weird though. Lol

I'd say just make sure to wear everything they give you for as long as they tell you. It might suck for a few years, but in 20 years you'll be happy you did it.

I had braces when I was younger. Now I have a permanent retainer behind my bottom teeth, but I've never really worn my top one, and I haven't noticed any change.

 

Permanent retainer?

 

I had braces for 2 years. Before I got them I had to have a couple teeth pulled so they would fit. I also had to have these expander things that were very painful. In my opinion, the first few days of braces are the only bad part. I still wear my retainer like every other day when I sleep. I'm supposed to wear them every day. I've had mine off for about 1.5 years, and they haven't moved, so yeah it's definitely worth having straight teeth.

Also, if you have the choice, get your wisdom teeth out. It's a fun experience

Edit: I also have a permanent retainer on my bottom teeth. It's just a small wire behind my teeth, and I barely notice it now.

 

I had braces for about 2 years from 2002 - 2004, I've also have 4 adult molar teeth and 4 wisdom teeth extracted (only time under general anesthetic).

My teeth were crowded to say the least and now I also have permanent fixed retainers not only behind my bottom but top teeth also.

With all I gone through to get my teeth straight I would deffinately do it again because it really is worth all the time, money and pain endured.

 

How much do the permanent retainer cost? Do they cost more than removable ones?

 

They shouldn't cost anything, it should be added into the total bill of your braces. And usually they put a permanent retainer in the bottom, but it depends on your orthodontist. I didn't have a choice.

 

I heard from my friends that retainer sucks, but it's way better than braces.

 

It does suck but eventually you don't notice it and you don't have to wear it 24/7.

Wait 30 years braces would seem to be a waste of money trust me lol..

 

im starting invisalign soon and i heard the first few weeks of braces/invisalign always suck
