Bot on one Legit on the other?

Recently (About a month ago) My one and only account (My main) Got a 2 day ban. since then i've been EXTREMELY weary of botting on it.

My question, With all the reports of people getting IP banned and legit accounts being banned when they're botting at the same time, do you think it'd be safe for me to make a second account and bot on it while playing legit on my main but NEVER at the same time?

IE; I'd legit on my main for 2-3 hours then run my bot overnight. These two accounts would NEVER be online at the same time and would NEVER interact with each other. Would Jagex ban my legit just because my other account is botting?

 

It is a good idea to do that but I'm not sure of jagex ban both of the accounts you will be using the same ip adress though so I'm not to sure mate

 

I've been wondering about this myself, I want to bot a new pure but I don't want to risk my main.
The same IP seems sketchy to me, and I don't know if they look at trade history but I wanted to give the account a few starter items too.

 

How is 2 connections on 1 IP such a flag though? My brother and I simultaneously play quite a fair bit. We have for over 5 years.
Even if you played at a library, that could be several connections from one IP (should a group of friends go up and play together after school or something..)

Obviously no one can know for certain, but just throwing some perspective into the speculation. Not claiming to be right here, as I don't know much about their detection methods..

In relation to your questions about zero interactions, if you get a goldfarming ban there is still a chance they could ban your main. They really REALLY dislike goldfarming. Any other ban you should be ok

 

Well one of the reports on tribot stated that his brother played legit on his account on his laptop and he botted all day and night on his PC. His account was banned and so was his brothers legit account even though they never interacted.

This is the main bases for my question. Especially like you said they hate goldfarming bans.. i was thinking of making this sort of my 2nd main so i can just bot and not let my prem scripts go to waste being unused >_<

 

Well if he was botting all day and night, it would be very likely that he was indeed goldfarming. However I am no expert. I'm doing a similar thing to you, however I have had interactions with the accounts, but I am also doing a fair bit of legit on my botted account (quests, talking to people etc). Been going around 4 weeks now and no ban. But that is in no way saying it is safe. I guess my advice would just be to weigh up the risk and reward.

It depends what you bot, and how good the script is. Ban rates are still quite low on tribot, all the increased bans lately is largely due to the fact that those who do get banned are more likely to come back to tribot forums and post about it. Whereas it'd be pretty pointless for all the people who still haven't been banned making a thread saying "omg another day another no-ban!" And the majority are goldfarming with flagged IPs and 10+ simultaneous bots, from what I've seen.

There's always a risk no matter how small or safe you bot. If you think it's worth the risk, then bot away my friend

 

Your IP is flagged, if you get caught for botting both of your accounts will be banned.

Change your IP, or it's not worth it at all.

As far as I know as long as they never interact, you SHOULD be fine, but I have heard of at least one case in which a botter's brother's legit main got banned before :/. Might have just been an isolated incident.

To be 100% safe, only bot any other accounts you wish to bot on an a VPS or using a proxy, and then you should have no worries at all. Best to do that rather than risk it, Jagex is known to do whacky things.

 

If you care so much man just dont bot everything you try is possible bannable if you want to avoid it DONT DO IT.
