Future of the gaming computer

The concept is so beautiful. I can't wait until they start producing it. I can see myself owning one of these in the future, as long as it's not way over priced.

 

The effortless mineral oil cooling as well..

Really hope this concept comes to fruition. As someone said in the comments of that youtube video it'll have to compete with cloud gaming services etc in the future =p

 

I'm doubting this will go into production. I view this like a concept car, very rarely do they ever actually go into production and when they do it's generally completely different.

 

This concept has been advertised before but on a mobile phone. Remember PhoneBlocks?



Its a pretty good concept and I can surely see it go foward, because it would bring a lot of "newbies" in actual PC Building into this modular stuff because its quite easy to do, as the video locutor said. HOWEVER, knowing razer, we can almost expect this to be extremely overpriced, sadly..

If the price/quality of this is actually good I might turn into it, otherwise I'll stick with my old tower. I can also see a lot of sick machines coming up with this new concept, from those hardcore gamers

 

You and me both. I think it has a shot at competing with cloud gaming services. Especially for users like you and I as our internet is way too slow.

 

They will be immensely over priced. One supplier means no competition and that means very high prices.

 

Although if they make the concept successful others will follow.

 

I like the concept, I'm just wary of how it's going to be priced.

Knowing razer, if they make it a proprietary type system, the prices are going to be stupid high.

Meh, I'm not a "gamer" but I'd stick to conventional PC's. He's spot on calling 'em the Apple of the PC world - because the modules & upgrades would be a total rip off just like Apple is where everything is pretty much own-brand.

 

I like the idea but not the design of this project, although it seems to me this idea is almost the same as "phoneblok" were big companies will have to develop for the "christine" and so on we can expect hefty prices.

 

But it won't make it cheaper if they are unable to make compatible modules, which Razer will try to stop at all costs, I would guess.

Pretty much. I love my computer and I love tinkering with it. It's a hobby as well as a utility.

 

I think that everyone is focusing way too much on the fact that this is by razer or the look of the actual concept itself. If the concept proved to be successful there is absolutely no patent in the world that could stop companies producing something like this.


This is a completely mineral oil cooled pc that would only take seconds to upgrade, you'd literally never have to buy anything except modular upgrades.
