Str pure at rock crabs

I have now achieved 60 str is it worth using the obby maul to train with now or shall I just stay with iron scimmy? im on around 15k xp per hour which is prity lame...

I'd either get 55 slayer, or train your attack up some.

 

I'd spend the time getting 55 slayer as to being able to wield the slayer staff. Much better XP p/h which is what you want in the long run.

If he raised his attack he'd hardly be a true obby pure. Unless he was willing to give up one combat level for the five attack levels.

 

If your not up to getting 55 slayer, invest in a red topaz machete (90k or so).

 

Train with an Obby Maul, it's faster then a Red Topaz.

I've made a few accounts Obby and Slayer Staff of course is the fastest by far.

But if you don't want to get it, Obby Maul at 60 Strength is faster XP.

Use a red topaz machete its better to train for your obby mauler. Gl mate

 

use a red topaz machete and train strength by doing slayer.

Eventually (a month of so) you'll be 55 slayer, use a slayer staff.

then, you're a king

 

Back in the live game (pre-eoc, obviously) I made one, stopped about 90 or so str before giving up. Slayer staff is 100% worth. I slowly grinded up the slayer using the machette and recoils (you wouldn't think they makes much of a difference, but it really did!)
So yeah, red topaz machette to 55 slayer, then switch to slayer staff

 

Weapons:

Iron Scimitar - Roughly 4k-8k xp per hour

a very primitive, low level weapon. However, there aren't many other choices being only 1 attack.

PROS: easily obtainable, very inexpensive
CONS: not the best weapon that could be used

Red Topaz Machete - Roughly 5k-10k xp per hour

The standard weapon used in training for today's obby maul pures. It has slightly higher attack and strength bonuses than an iron scimitar, making it better to use.

PROS: slightly more accurate than an iron scimitar, looks cool
CONS: hard to obtain (some desperate to get one will pay to upwards of 100k for one)

Slayer's Staff - Roughly 20k-25k xp per hour

The best 1 attack weapons for obby maulers by far. It's as fast as a whip and has only 5-10 less attack and strength bonus than a rune scimitar. The downside is you need 55 slayer for to wield it, which i will cover later on in the guide.

PROS: fast as a whip, almost as good attack and strength bonus as a rune scimitar, deadly accurate for being only 1 attack
CONS: needs 55 slayer to wield

This is very true, if you do not want to get slayer staff tho, rock crabs are weak to crush, so either use maul with a power amulet, or do lost city, and use the dramen staff, as it has good crush bonus for one attack.

I used to have one, I grinded to 55 slayer for a slayer staff for the best xp possible.

 

get 55 slay but it is pain in the ass and takes too muuuuuch time , but it is worth it , btw i would like to ask you , how much time did it take u to get 60 str with 1 attack ?

 

55 slayer takes weeks and like 200+ hours do it if you have no doubts about the future of your acc.

 

only took 2 days not long really.

Yeah I don't think I am going to stay 1 attack and defence anyway so its pointless decided to get 85 mining (just hit 70) to make some monies before I start combat and pking again.
