Fucking ridiculous. Although some of the current altcoins have the technical and financial support to make it legitimate, Coingen is allowing just anyone willing to pay 0.05 BTC to create a scrypt or sha256 coin.

This will already confuse a lot of folks who aren't as well versed in the cryptocurrency world, and will likely make new-comers very wary of scams.

I hope this site withers away.

Oh of course none of them will be a threat to the main cryptos established now, but the fact that this even exists (essentially a scam platform) is beyond common sense.

 

That is pretty cool, but yeah all those altcoins are going to be useless and annoying.

 

I agree that sites like this aren't necessarily a good thing, it does bring more exposure to crypto though so meh.

 

It is already annoying. There are so many already and how many more it will be created? Only one altcoin that worths attention after the Bitcoin is LiteCoin. All the others are worthless.
