Oldschool Runescape community growing!

I first noticed this when I was grinding for void a week or so ago. PC is completely packed, and void is something you don't go for unless you're thinking of staying long-term. That amount of people committing to their long-term accounts, ahh it makes me happy. I only hope that it is truly growing, and not dying as PKing would suggest (wild is definitely at a low point..)

 

Always nice to see RS '07 flourish. Hopefully this trend continues.

 

Hit 22k today, surprising...

Where did this influx come from?

 

Christmas. Parents probably saw membership cards and used them as stocking stuffers. That and a lot of people are on christmas break right now, for about another week or two.

 

I agree with this. Hopefully we still get to have 20k players online

I've just come back from a long break, and couldn't stand 07 - Although I loved it at the time, strange.

RS3 is just a whole lot better in my opinion. And I was so anti EOC and all the updates before I quit!

 

I'm in the same boat as Cripsy, took a 2-3 month break due to lack of entertainment from 07, I however despise EOC so I was out of RS for a while. It's nice to see that lot's of people are becoming active again, however I'm afraid it's likely due to Christmas holidays and we'll see the numbers drop sharply within the next week when schools reopen. On my return however, I've noticed that PVP and Wilderness are dead and raggers have taken those worlds over, which is a major cause for concern and needs to be addressed ASAP.

 

Since I started playing OSRS again for the first time since the first couple of months it was released I have noticed a significant increase in players. It would be awesome if more advertising was done to promote 07 scape.

 

I agree 100% man, if only jagex would advertise it the same way they advertise their main game (that sucks, imo)
