    If im not mistaken a wile back bitcoin was in some crap having to do with scamming am I right? If so why is the price per coin so high and people are still buying and selling bitcoins if they company was in a scandal?

    I think you need to do some research concerning bitcoin. Bitcoin itself has never been a "scam" and they are going up because they have value. (Imposed scarcity, being a viable means of exchange etc).

    It isn't necessarily a "company" either, the founders aren't in it for the money from what I've read. I think the scams you've heard about are to do with wallet owners scamming customers or allegedly being hacked.

    While that is true, it would be much more likely that if things went well (and legitimate) for BTC in the future, that would be much more profitable for those folks along with the ability to do some good as well. A win win scenario for them in my eyes.
