Well I wouldn't even bother with custom made controllers tbh. As the market is limited and I bet little kids in china are making them for pennies. Also with your IT company again I wouldn't even bother unless you are so pro on a computer as we speak.

You need an idea and cash flow to make the idea grow.

How much money do you have to invest? Also you could directly import products and sell them over eBay / Amazon, but you would need to find a niche that isn't saturated else you might find it hard to become top spot for best matched (lots of sales).

Alternatively if you have no money to invest you can try offering Marketing services. (A logo costs like $5 and companies will pay x10 that and more!)

For example:
- Find companies in local area in a "rich" niche (by rich I mean dentists / cars etc)
- Find one with a crappy website
- Approach them with a new webdesign (Free customized wordpress template easy?)
- Say blah blah that you can rank them number 1 (Will be easy as its a certain niche in a small local area as no competition)

And job done. You can then also push other services like web hosting and printing / design of business cards and other promo shit.

Also you can look into PPC / PPD.

List goes on bud. But it would help if you was more specific then just "give me an idea" As how about this "Develop a new game console" "Start your own plastic surgery firm" "New football squad" haha.

 

Before even thinking of ideas and how to go into them and what is needed to peruse said ideas, do you have the required capital? Are you also prepared to endure losses prior to seeing a tinge of profit?

 

I guess the amount of investment that i'm going to use is going to just depend on what i decide to go after. If it's something that could be grown with a small investment i'll use all my own money, but if the idea is going to require equipment or something like that i'll pursue investors to help start off the business.

 

So whats your idea then?

Back in the day, I used to jtag xbox360s and twilight-hack wii's in my country through an online service. There was nothing hard about it, was interesting to learn and I made decent, though unsteady cash with it.

Console gaming, moreover hacking them isn't so popular in my country so I had a lot of customers.

Even better, competitors were charging 70$+ for the twilight hack and lied that they were installing chips. faggots

Dipped into starting a Disc Golf Retail store, but there seems to be a surplus of websites and stores out there that provide product so i'm not sure it would be worth it, but putting that idea on the side burner.

Just an idea. You could do the following.
(again it all depends on your skills: Talking on the phone, Face to face and how you present yourself)

Step by step:
1: Find LOCAL companies in your area that makes use of websites For example: Dentists (dentists will be willing to pay good money because dentists make a bucket ton of a new client). Anyways find a list of local dentists.

2: Filter the list into shit websites (the crappy ones your nan could make) and they are your targets

3: Use themeforest / templatemonster etc etc find a related niche website template for wordpress

4: Using Google Chrome, right click on the template preview and press inspect element, then edit all the text on the website with content related to your current target.

5: Print screen and print onto high quality paper or you could agree with your target to email them a draft.

1: Ring the 1st company on your list and ask to speak to the manager.

YOU: Hello, My name is Josh and I'm calling from [Insert design company], Is it possible I could speak to the manager?
THEM: Sure, 2 seconds..... (if they ask what is it regarding, just explain that you noticed there website is pretty crap and you believe a better website and seo could bring them to the top of #1 and that would increase clients)

Now when you speak to the manager you have to sell your self. Explain what you do, how good you are at it, and why you are contacting them. ALWAYS keep the convo flowing.

If he is happy with the design situation etc etc ask for a meeting so you can further explain and show him the design. Take notes how he would like it etc etc...

You need to figure out pricing first. The template will cost you $40-100.
So you need to include that in your price so this is a example pricing:

Webdesign + Setup = $350
Webdesign + Setup + Optimized content = $450
Webupdates (hourly cost) = $20
Hosting = $???
(maybe set up a reseller hosting account?)

All done ...

 

eBay. Buy stuff cheap sell it high, use media mail for shipping. You might be surprised by how much some things sell for on eBay. After selling for a while you can become a power seller and be able to sell things for even higher and faster.
