I'd flame you for the build, but in normals most tanks have no idea how to peel. With a good carry on the other team (judging their Vayne's score and gold, she was good) it can be a nightmare to win games without a tank who knows what to do. Sometimes you gotta take tanking into your own hands!

On the flip side, no Nasus but at least you had a Vayne!

 

Ya both vaynes were pretty good, but the stupid singed and lee on my team kept trying to 1v1 vayne 45+ min in. Lost baron because of that.

 

Warmogs can be viable on carries, so, nobody can really shit on your build.

That Diana build is another story..

 

Reminds me of this time last year where every champ including AD Carries built
Warmogs by mid game.

 

Lol, i never originally planned to buy a warmogs but i had to get it since i was so squishy. I would die in team fights easily making my tibbers useless.

Usually Zhonyas and liandrys is good enough for me

Warmogs isn't really bad. People always think building should be done the way pros do it, but pros can depend on their team to peel for them and pros have mastered positioning and kiting. Before you really learn to do any of that, warmogs can help give you the crutch of a lot more HP and still being somewhat cost-effective.

Another deccent HP item to build on an AP Carry is Rylai's Crystal Scepter. It's more expensive, but it provides AP and a passive that is really strong.

 

For future reference, don't build liandries on Annie. Ever.

DFG should have been your first item if you wanted to go full AP.

DFG is a core Annie item, can you imagine what 20% increased damage does to her burst damage? She's 1 hit central.

Now, instead of Warmogs. I'd obviously say DFG instead, but you're correct. You needed a defensive item, that's what the Zhonyas is. You can flash engage, and then when focused just zhonyas and congratulations you're an amazing engage.

Annie doesn't need defensive items, at all. She needs to 1 shot somebody or land a good aoe stun. If she builds Banshees and Warmogs it doesn't mean shit when the ADC is just pounding your face in 4 hits. The Warmogs literally allows you to get hit 1-2 times by the opposing ADC. Instead, you could have got 200 AP from a DFG. If you wanted HP for whatever reason, could have just went Rylai's which is still a terrible item on Annie. Still benefits you A LOT more than a Warmogs(which is a tank item that requires armor/MR)

Okay, thanks for your help. Like i said i only got it because it was super late game and i needed to stay alive. It was my second time playing annie so my build was pretty bad and i knew that lol

 

My general rule when playing burst mages is to only get one defensive item at most. Warmog works well on Annie because of her E, but you need close to max CDR to keep it up frequently. You didn't really need the Banshee's Veil. DFG is pretty core on her. Liandry's doesn't work on her because she has no slow and cannot reapply the passive consistently. Void Staff probably would've worked better against all that MR.

 

No problem, yeah I can tell but just take into account even if you're new to the champion logic and reasoning will save you in any moment.

 

Why Nasus? U were support/mid and if u were mid u only managed to get 110~ creeps in 1hour time..

 

He's lvl 18 dude lol. + from that pic it seems like it was skirmishes 24/7.

in a game of that length, a defensive item is definitely a good idea, dude. you're obviously not going to be able to 1 shot anyone due to the deficit of a couple of items as you'll probably have a couple of support items, so staying alive is key

also, support annie is completely different playstyle. support annie is a replacement for what would usually be a tank peeling for the carry. as such you would to be able to stay alive for your stuns to help the carries.

the cc is far more important than the damage.

maybe in annie mid, you would be right, but annie support? no, defensive items are a really good idea.
