Range Tank help?

Hey guys im gonna make a range tank with a Quest cape so ill have atleast 50 prayer and I was wondering should I get 52 Prayer for smite or get 70 prayer for piety because of the massive defence bonus? The combat difference is only like 2 cb levels so thats not that much and also i would be harder to smite at 70

 

I use to own a max tank in the old RS days, and i had 99 prayer. I don't think this was necessary though! I would recommend getting 70 prayer as it is VERY good when you have to take big hits.

 

Get 52 prayer then start chinning with def on.

If you plan on 99 defense I'd go 70 prayer. if you want to stay 70 def get 52 prayer.

If you plan on stopping at 75 def I wouldn't go over 52. You can't use piety and eagle eye at the same time anyways.

 

Stay at 52 prayer as 70 will raise your CB lvl by a large amt. Obviously piety is nice but probably not worth the CB levels at that lvl range.

 

Would only be 2 cb lvls though, is that that much?

 

Why would you want Piety when you can't use Eagle Eye with Piety?

You're a range tank, you only need 52 Prayer.

 

Piety can't help you. 52 is where you should camp there
