The NEX 1500 is going to be replacing my AX1200, since I can only run 3/4 of my 4 580's ultras.

What case is that? I was thinking about getting a cube case from Caselabs then watercolling.

DUDE,why the **** you need 1500w ?

 

The AX1200 doesn't have enough PCI-E connectors to power all 4 of his 580s. I believe each card requires 3 and there are only 9 on the AX1200.

I have a lot of work to do on the cable management, and cleaning up everything. But it will be worth it when the PSU come in!!

 

you'll need all that power regardless of the technical problems with your previous power supply. The Fermi cards were the most inefficient thing I've ever seen. SO much power wasted for essentially the equivalent of a GTX 760. While they were great for their time, they were also poor as far as heat and power was concerned for their time too. Nice build, but if I were you I'd get away from those Fermi cards.

power aside, you've got a hell of a build though. That should run you well for years to come. Quad SLI sucks though, just a heads up. It's a hell of a headache! The power is all there, it's just hard to properly utilize
