They do. Its just jagex's way of pissing of the rule breakers

This is just one of the ways the client or Jagex's system or whatever displays a perm ban. If you try to login tomorrow or a week or a month from now, you will notice the timer doesn't actually count down. The account doesn't actually get unbanned after 10 years. The account is perm banned, it's just an odd way to display it

Must have been one hell of a bug abuse.

 

Not for 10 year bans, it works for normal bans (For example, when I had a 2 week ban)

 

There really isn't any point in arguing over this. I doubt the game will still exist in 10 years.

 

I have an account with a similar ban length. As others have stated, the game probably will not be up and around in 10 years time.

 

I agree. With the way Runescape 3 is evolving, the game just looks like its gonna die soon.

 

I have one that was banned for glitches in duel arena in 2010, they gave me a 10 year ban or some shit too. Tried again this year and now its perm'd. Was the best name I ever had on an account too.. >.>

Wasn't worth a lot unless you have the same personal experiences as me, but a lot of sentimental value.

 

I have a feeling they are gonna come out with a new game within a few years and give up on RS

 

me also with 4 accounts if they all survive i can play with 20+ year account old.
