[Dual screens] Minimalising application/game

Hey guys, my IRL friend is looking for some help with dual screens, I'm not gonna lie, I'm curious about this too because I also got dual screens.
So, if we run an game, it displays on just 1 screen what is cool but when we click somewhere on 2nd screen it minimalises even if game is paused. Have you got any programs/tips how to stop this so we can do some stuff on other screen while we for example press ESC to pause the game so it wont minimalise anymore? Any help is appreciated

 

You will have to play the game in windowed/fullscreen windowed to prevent this.

The game is currently in fullscreen mode, so when you try to do something offscreen, it detects it as an alt+tab/minimize due to the fact that everything else is technically running in the background.

 

We tried on windowed already, didnt work

Yeah, that should only happen if it's in full screen. Windowed mode should allow you to tab out without minimizing the screen everytime.

 

Then it must not have actually been in windowed mode. What game specifically?

 

I tried myself in battlefield3 friend in LoL I think I'd have to ask

That's me playing some far cry 3 in 720p (since I don't have my cards SLI'd at the moment and it's slow as shit) windowed mode. I just need to tap the windows key to get the mouse unlocked from the game window and it works fine.

 

I've set up my dual monitor as "Extend Screen" rather than a second desktop. It doesn't minimize it for me. I also use the game in fullscreen as well.
