do you want your judge for carry? or to plink with? Im just wondering for aesthetics. I personally dislike the judge( or the Governor for that matter.) i carry a Ruger SR40C at work that carrys 14 shots rounds of black talons that totally trumps a 5 or 6 shot judge. It is a matter of opinion. but my pawnshop has had an attempt at a burgerly and we had 4 In the store at once. so id rather have more than bigger in my ideal world

I want it for nightstand. Gf is unfamilar with semis but owns a .22 revolver so its ease of use for her is a major consideration. Plus she wont touch my shotgun and everything else I own would penetrate walls, neighbors ect.

Wheel gun also will NOT jam in the heat of the moment. No short stroking a revolver.

I dont have a night stand gun =P. I just have a shotgun closet. I have 2 semiautos and 1 pump 12 ga in there. and for women I usually recommend Revolvers. I like my ruger for several reasons. for one it is one of the safest guns on the market with a trigger safety, a frame safety, internal drop safeties, and a huge load indicator on the slide. but also because my wife absolutely loves that gun. she shoots it about 3 times a month. very easy slide for her to work and very very very light recoil. it is a total package for me and mine.

Picked up a Type 53 Mosin Nagant last week with TWO spam cans for $230 !!! Considering spam cans of ammo are 90-120 a piece id sayI made out like a bandit!!

Shoots like a dream, all matching numbers and a smoother action than my buddies mauser (much to his dismay). As far as the bad goes, it was cakkkked in cosmoline, missing the cleaning rod and stock is atrocious. Ordered cleaning rod on amazon, and plan to lightly refinish stock, mainly just rough it up and re stain and put minwax/linseed on it, the ugly stock has some trench art and a butt plate with matching sn so replacement it out of question.

Any other Mosin fans? If you havent got one i suggest hitting up classic firearms llc for one,
They have done me right in the past with surplus. This gun is wayyyyy more fun than anticipated and kicks about like a 20ga. Sooo whats you guys recent finds?

I've always wanted an AR15 but like others have mentioned, laws in the UK would completely prevent me from doing so. I suppose I could just buy a 3d printer and create the lower receiver !

I did used to own a few Samurai swords, hand made < 1950. But had to give them up after my child was born. I've always liked to be prepared in case someone entered my home.

Ar 15s are fun but the .223 is a joke imo. Im not paying a grand or so for a glorified .22 that you cant even legally hunt with (aside from "varmits"). However since the platform is so versatile you could get it in a real caliber, a .30 caliber.

Ive heard mosin nagants are able to be bought and sold in uk with much less hassle and price. Granted they are old military surplus rifles and dont have that "evil" black gun appeal but its apalling how fun they are. Im seriously considering buying a 3 pack of random ones from a crate. Theres many different variations of them, I prefer the carbines.

My dad owns a Colt 45, though I've never seen it, he has talked about it when we were kids in the dinner table.

Yep, and fun as hell. Ive got a $100 2'' moa rifle at 100 yrds. I've seen shitty ones but thats what you get when a dozen or so countries making them, also the ww2 era rifles are rough.. they were churned out obscenely fast .

Bubba'ed a trigger job by shimming where the trigger and sear meet with brass stock. No more creep. Feels like a brand new rifle. Gunna try to go shoot this coming week.
