Here's a logo that I created for a friend

I don't like how you can barely differentiate the background grey with the text.

 

he probably tried and make it look 3d

Well right, I just don't like that the depth of the text is the same gradient as the ring in the background.

You're usually better off using flat colours for logo design, as they transfer much more effectively in print (letterheads, branded posters, whatever)

 

really nice, you can imagine seeing this on an advertisement board when you are out, what is it for?
