Has anyone ever got killed doing this?

Has anyone ever been killed because of something on sythe or any other gold trading site? Killed in real life, not runescape.

 

Often when things like this happen they usually make the headlines as it's considered somewhat abnormal. There's been news reports on violence over video games but not specifically death from Runescape or Sythe related incidents, well, that we know of.

There's been a few cases of people buying gold in real life, and turning up to then mug the person of his RSGP.

Pretty sure people have been killed over RS/Killed their parents because they stopped them playing.

 

I read about something where a kid brought a gun and threatened the guy in a public space to send all the money or he'd shoot. And then he got arrested and prisoned the next day.

 

yeah, agreed to meet in a library, the guy basically just forced the kid to trade him all the RSGP and left..before being arrested :nuts:

Killed? No. But being bullied because of it? Yes.

I remembered there was a news report where a bully actually beat up a kid for the kid's Green H'ween, recalled he had to serve some 100+ hours by cleaning the streets etc.

 

That news report called them "magic coins" haha

 

I know of people being robbed for their RSGP, but not killed. However, there was one runescape related death where someone stayed awake too long and died from fatigue because they were training on double exp weekend or double drop weekend or something of the kind.

 

yes people here on sythe, when someone scams, they usually start lurking the scammer around. Most of them end up dead. so be carefull with your decisions

I don't think people have wound up dead specifically over Sythe, or RuneScape but as others have said... Meeting in real life can be dangerous so if it must be done, I'd say bring a friend or two meet somewhere very public.

 

I'm not so sure that this is quite as unlikely as some of you may believe.

it was in the news. A holland guy didn't give a hween mask+a fury to his "friend" and he hit him multiple times. He didnt die tho.

 

If you scam and as a result get beaten up or die I'll have no sympathy for that to be honest.

 

I don't watch silentc0re, I believe the situations I mentioned I read from a reputable news source.
