VERT FIRST TIME HERE ,needed help about a trojan

Is svchost.exe (other then windows process ,but as a trojan) a RAT ?

can it hack webcam

 

There's a fair chance that an svchost that isn't a legitimate windows process is a rat. Download an antivirus program and run some scans. If you're worried about your webcam being accessed, disable it.

 

can't be said, could be that the file is clean, could also be that the file got infected, just make a trojan scan and a malware scan

the file svchost.exe normally is a windows "Service Host" Data

 

If you have a good anti-virus program (AVG/Kaspersky etc) then run it and it should pick it up if it's a virus. If not, you've got nothing to worry about.

 

I have already removed it..what im worried about is before AVG found it..what was it doing...is there a way that I could know what kind of virus is it

 

Change all online passwords for everything

 

An anti-virus won't pick up a rat, especially a good one.
So just make it really IS gone before you go changing things/logging onto personal things you want to keep safe.

 

You can always restore your computer to previous data or completely wipe out your pc plus if you have something important on your computer, put it in an usb and start the restore.
