What do you think for this president guys?

President of Uruguay is most likely the world's poorest leader.
He never wears a tie and donates about 90 percent of his salary, largely to a program for expanding housing for the poor.

 

Cares for the people good job

 

He sounds like an amazing person, and I support that he believes in progressive ideas.

It's a noble idea, but as with everything else, there is diminishing marginal returns, even if he didn't live extravagantly in his position, it is basically the same thing.

 

Such an admirable person. Honestly, the world needs more people like him.

I sort of find it coincidental that recently Nelson Mandela just passed away and the noble deeds of this President is just now surfacing even though he's been doing it for a long time now.

Any thoughts on this?

 

Nelson Mandela wasn't as great as the media is showing him to be. Just check up some facts about South Africa. It's in worse shape than it has ever been. This guy seems like the real deal, but I seriously doubt that of Mandela.

 

I agree with what you say, I was just pointing out the coincidence. So, I am asking why hasn't this guy come to light until after Mandela's passing when this guy obviously has demonstrated his good deeds and selflessness for a long time now?

Celeberties/Media have inflated Mandela but nothing is spoken about this guy. Also, it's not even headline news, it's more like internet news. What gives?

 

It's a touching tale but that's about all it is in the eyes of the media. There is no celebrity sex scandal or giant massacre so majority of them don't care. The scaremongering amongst the media is one of the main reasons I do not watch the news. It's all doom & gloom and idiotic acts. No thanks Jeff.

 

It's been probably 6 years since I have watched T.V. so, by your statement nothing has changed in the last 6 yrs.

 

That's how the media is because that's the unfortunate reality of the world we live in. The selfishness inside consumes the mass majority which the media caters to because it's what the people are interested in.

They don't care about the great things that happen on a daily basis; the people want to know who was murdered or what the latest criticism on the government is today.

It's all about the money cow and they'll show what keeps it moving.
