Thread icon for Global Moderators

Hey guys!

I think it's pretty weird that global mods and sectionals have the same icon for a thread icon.
And now OMM's have a nice distinct icon, why not add a global mod icon to go with it?

I think a small santa had would work, but that's my personal opinion.
That would look like this :

Support, mods are getting 5 additional icons, OMMs 1, but when someone is promoted from sectional to global he doesnt get any, but from global to admin you actually get, basicly every single promotion except globals get additional icons now, so lets add Global Moderator promotions to it.

That's cool but globals have 3 santas so it describes their position better =/

Certainly deserve it, I thought the santa hat would go to sectionals and globals would use the rosette.

Santa hats look more prestigious in my opinion. Support the suggestion it'd be a cool little addition.

 

I disagree. If you think about it there are two types of main staff members, there are mods and admins. Gloabls don't need their own icon just because admins have the yellow phat. The Red Rosette means moderator, the yellow phat means admin. Adding a Santa hat is just going to confuse people.

 

I see some potential for confusion because some sectionals have Santa hats in their ranks. That being said if it isn't too much of a hassle I see no problem with globals having a unique thread icon.

If OMM's get theirs definitely support for Globals.

I can't say I ever wanted to be differentiated by having a different icon as a Global

 

I wouldn't mind one, sure (though I'm sure Matthew has other more important things to attend to)

 

Definitely supporting this one. It's a good idea and they deserve this for their hard work in maintaining the site

 

Having the red rosette is enough. We know the distinction enough by the name colors.

 

I see no reason why not, if time to implement this doesn't detract for more important projects.

 

This, I don't feel it's necessary but hey... Whatever. Wouldn't hurt either I suppose. I'm on the fence, not supporting this, though not exactly against it either.

This is not the suggestion, the suggestion is for an icon for the global moderators, the icon is just an example.
This example I would like to see, as in my opinion I see the santa hat as a gmod thing.

'Would cause confusion'
How would an extra icon cause confusion?
Again, the santa icon is an example, there are plenty of graphics designers who might make a better one.
Feel free to make suggestions.

 

Global could use a unique icon but i think the santa hat isn't cool enough. the rosette makes it more powerfull imo. No support on that icon but I support the idea
