i had no idea what section to post this in. i know it's runescape related, and this of all sections seemed like the most suitable category, so here it is..

hey, i have not been on for quite some time.

i used to be a staker, but i had so much trouble finding out how to get an ip to get first hit in staking that i just gave up.

i am here to start my own gold shops for buying/selling gold.
however, i would like to stake on my spare time.

i am willing to pay someone to teach me how to get a specific ip address so that i have first hit everytime.

at the moment, i cant remember exactly how the ip intervals went for first hit, but with a quick google search im sure i could find out how again.

i know its an algorithm, for example your third set xxx.xxx.123.xxx where the 123 is has to be an interval of 4 and then the fourth set has to be the lowest number possible. so the best ip address would be like xxx.xxx.16.0. im pretty sure thats how it goes.

my biggest issue tho is changing my ip address to exactly that so that i can have first hit everytime. if anyone knows how, please post, or send me a message and we can discuss a price, etc.

 

well i do believe they changed the pid system so your pid switches every few seconds or so

 

can't really learn how to get it, all depends on PID now and every stake i'm in seems determined by it.

 

that is a new thing i've heard and i do not know if that is possible. i do hope that's not the case.

old school doesnt use the pid system, which stands for player identification. for example, there's per say two thousand people allowed in a world and you are assigned a number one - two thousand, and the number closest to one would be the best pid. that's how it used to work so people would log out/in to change their pid real quick and there were actually ways you could pid and get a better pid number.

last i heard was the way i described in my post that in old school runescape, first hit was based on your ip address and the third set needed to be an interval of four, and the last number as low as possible.

could someone who knows for sure please reply and let me know what's going on. i would assume it still works with ip address, because i am almost positive they would have to re-code the entire game to change the way the first hit system worked in old school. so im going to assume it still works via your ip address.

 

In OSRS pid is random now. It can literally switch midway through the fight. If you get first hit it doesnt guarantee youll get last hit. Completely random now, no way to guarantee you get pid.

 

Well, it appears after two people confirming this 'NEW' method that it is, in fact the new way in OSRS; PID constantly changing every few seconds > minutes.

As for my opinion and thoughts on it, it seems it would be very hard to be a consistent staker as I used to do before EoC. When you are able to 'PID,' and always have first hit, it's almost like dicing. You have better odds, and your 3-7% advantage or 55% vs 45% in a 1v1 stake match, you could literally stake all day and just make money consistently. Every once in awhile, you would find some larger stakes, and determine whether you believe in your PID or not and sometimes make hundreds > thousands within minutes just for having first hit.

Don't get me wrong, there's times where I've lost bills with second hit. However, I would had never gained that money if it weren't for first hit in the first place. Basically, you get unlucky sometimes. Yet, with this new PID system you guys speak of, I definitely would not trust it enough to try to consistently make money all day, because you are eventually going to lose it all. Not to say you wouldn't if you ALWAYS had first hit, but if you were ever a 'first hit ONLY staker,' you would understand exactly why I would not try to stake anymore.

I think I will just sell my stakers, and open up my own gold buying/selling shops. And honestly, I will probably make more money doing so.

Wow! It definitely does change randomly ever few seconds > minutes. I did a DDS stake for one mill. I had first hit on the first hit, but on the like second or third hit, I actually hit second, and then I finished the last hit, hitting first and won one mill.

It was definitely different than what I am used to.., but I decided to run, even though the person I staked for it had ten more mil, I decided to run until I am more used to this and have the money to stake those type of amounts. I only bought three mill, so to win a third of my bank was actually a pretty decent amount. I am going to stake two fifty, to five hundred thousand for now, and just get used to this and maybe throw in a mil stake here and there, and just have fun and play around. This is something I need to get used to.

 

what exactly is staking? sorry I'm a noob...but I do want to learn
