Might return to RS3

Haven't played in quite a long while lol...Not really sure what the hell is going on.
I saw the sticky about the updates but I really can't be asked to read through all the 2013 updates.
Just wanted to know how the game is now, how skilling is, how prices and items are doing and how rwt'ing is going.

Would be much appreciated if someone could link me to something that shows you through the new combat system and what the best way to skill an account up is. Also what are the best money making methods and do bots still exist?

I would say tread lightly when botting/rwt'ing on RS3 as Jagex has gotten a heavy hand with it and people are getting banned left and right.

The game itself is essentially still the same. The abilities can be toggled on and off via the use of Momentum. Generally momentum is slower exp but less "click" or "keyboard" intensive. The combat triangle is crucial now as everything is based off of weaknesses instead of your preferred style. It took me a while to get used to it.

Prices are slowly stabilizing in the GE due to less botters.

Sadly, pking is essentially dead. Games of chance that occurred on Runescape are gone for the most part. People still gamble via IRC chats etc.

Skilling has been made easier due to the ability bar. Skills where you power skill benefit from this heavily. Being able to drop ores, logs and fish has never been easier.

awww man thought I'd be able to bot it while I work but guess its not worth it lol, are there any easy ways to trade gold?
I guess i'll need to do a lot of research on skilling now lol, if you could explain a bit more on the power skilling?
Might look around for a trustworthy dicing IRC and try my luck xD

 

Seems that a lot of gambling has gone towards poker/blackjack websites recently. You might consider looking into those.
