    They occasionally get someone to moderate them, I'm pretty sure that gaming moderator and personal support have both been handed out in the past year and a bit. Noam was the last gaming and gohan the last personal support amirite?

    Last personal support promo was Gohan in ~2010. Gaming moderator was a new position for the section rework, though that turned out to be a disaster in the end. Either way Noam was demoted and so was FlyingToast, the section is far too inactive anyway.

    And personal support seems pointless now as there is already a Support centre mod. I think it was Finn's idea to have a mod for solely that section.

    The people demanding I change them in previous suggestion threads would disagree with you.

    I'd like to point out you're correct except that it's not a flower. It's an asterisk indicating the multitude of sectional positions. An asterisk in some programming and regular expression tends to represent "any" value.

    We'd have to have a retired whatever rank for every type of sectional which, including present and past sections, is quite a lot of ranks. We've decided against doing this in favor of a generic rank because sectionals tend to come and go a lot and it's easier to manage.

    My thoughts exactly.


    You know, the changes we made were the DIRECT result of a suggestion thread like this. I tried ignoring the thread but so many people PMed it to me and bugged me about it that I made the changes. Now I've made the changes, which were supported by members AND staff, and you guys want something else? I certainly don't have anything better to do than change rank images.

    A fix on the original rank was made from its shape and on its awkward off-red color to the nice gray color, which was what I wanted. The thread's mostly just been discussion for a while.
