Maybe a way to repay the victims or even stop scamming on sythe.org.

I've been walking around the house wasn't even on sythe or RS and insudden something came up inside of my head, haha.

I was thinking of this:
I noticed on sythe.org we have Admin's Mods MM's verify'd traders etc etc.
Now that's a good thing, we need people to MM, and its always much more easier trading a trusted person.
So.. There are allot of newcomers in sythe.org but im sure the most percentage already did some BlackMarket trades.


Therefore my idea was to gain some trust in people on sythe.org and reduce the scamming:
Keep the mods and other ranks like MM's etc, but add a system that will allow the people with not a good status on sythe.org rent a trader status.

Example: I'm a new trader on sythe.org and most of the times i will be selling Runescape upgrades, which are about 5-20m (rs07).
I will buy a status for 20M, somewhere in my profile or anywhere it will state that i've paid sythe.org 20m for that status rent.
Now if it happens that i will scam someone if the victim has valid proof of that he can get repaid so there is no sense for people with a status to scam an amount that's below the 20M GP.
You can do this with 10,25,50,100M to 1B etc..

I understand this will cost some more time for the staff so why not charge a small fee for the rent aswell ?
There we go some profit in the pocket for sythe.org and you will have more trusted traders, you can even make a specific forum where you need a status to even trade in which will make the scammers fold vs sythe.org's cards ..

I hope this will get considered because i cannot see where this could go wrong, it will help the community aswell the staff.

Just buy a donator rank if you want to deem trusted for a certain amount of money.
This system you are describing, albeit I scanned trough it, seems really complex and I don't see anybody new coming on to the site and thinking, "This is a really handy and easy to use sytem, I really want to partake in this community."

 

Middleman is not a must, it's only optional. No support

 

This would be great if it was done properly, however it'll take too much effort to do so. Plus, it'll just give people false hope. If someone has a $1000 "security deposit" a lot of people will put their guards down since they think they're insured up to that amount. However, all someone has to do is time it properly and they can scam $2000, $3000, etc.

 

1. Scammer buys a $200 bond
2. Scammer scams three people for $200 each in a short period of time

 

To easy to just scam for the same amount multiple times.

No support. The bonds are a bad idea unless payments are only done via a Sythe Wallet, which you then have to withdraw to PP/WU/BT. Pretty much, it gets too complicated for the hassle it's worth. If you're smart enough you won't get scammed anyways!

 

This is basically a bond system and would require way too much work and implementation when we have the OMM system in place.

If someone doesn't want to use an OMM, there's plenty more traders out there to deal with.
