Nelson Mandela dies at age 95

If you guys haven't heard or seen the news already, former South African President Nelson Mandela has died at age 95 of complications from a recurring lung infection.

Simply was a great man. Rest in peace.

What's sad is a lot of people probably don't even know who Nelson Mandela is.

 

Did you guys hear about Paris Hilton mistaking Nelson Mandela for Martin Luther King? Dumb broad.

First South African president that really set out to end racist tensions in the country. Even though they ended segregation in the 70's (I think) there still somewhat segregated. I believe he was also black (first to be president).

 

Was told by a friend today. It was on twitter and it was deleted not long after. Apparently she is dismissing it as fake but she's an idiot so I wouldn't be surprised if she was being serious. Who would hack her twitter just to post something as idiotic as that?

I think that's most definitely a fake. It's easy to edit tweets on twitter and then screenshot them to make it seem like the person posted it. Then just add the excuse about them deleting the tweet afterwards.

Paris Hilton is not dumb despite what people think, she would have received excellent education because of her family's wealth. She wouldn't post something like that without consulting her publicist or someone in her management anyway.

 

R.I.P, but guess what people die everyday nothing special.

 

Not all of them lead a nation to freedom. It's important to commemorate such things - a great man and a great loss.

 

RIP, he was a great man and an even better leader.

 

There ya go a lot of people irl that i know have no clue what he did or who he even was and i just thought it was sad. Simply because if a celebrity dies everyone knows everything about them and is depressed about their passing.

 

Sure he was one of the greatest political leaders ever, but he was also the leader of a terrorist group and was directly responsible for the deaths of many innocent people.

Don't get me wrong he was a great man, just not in the earlier stages of his life.

 

Back then it was a situation where the Apartheid regime brutally treated the native South Africans. The young Nelson Mandela probably thought he was justified in using force against the regime since peacefully protesting was ineffective. Later on in his life, he learned the errors of his ways and was against using violence.

 

This is just horrible.

 

Guess what, I don't care doesn't bother me why shall I care if many other people die the real question would be : Do you know him? No.

Does he know you? : No
Isn't he just another human being? : Yes

So why shall I care? Maybe because hes just famous?

Also why do you like him I bet you guys only like him because you're trying to give a tribute to his death when you guys don't really know sht about him and don't care and all of a sudden everyone cares now that hes dead? Sometimes I just don't understand people on this planet..

 

It is not whether you know them or not, it is is just respect. He made a huge impact on the world, and there willl not be another person who is like him. No need to be a douche, so if you have nothing nice to say, don't post
