    Fire-arms.

Just curios cause I know we have a-lot of Americans here...

    Does anyone own any fire-arms?

I own a few myself, including...Ar15's, AK47, Rem700, few Colt Commanders, and a-lot of WWII rifles.

    Anyone else?

Do you own these for collection value or what is the purpose do most people have to own an ak47? Not being disrespectful just curious. I live in Canada where I believe automatic rifles are banned as are handguns.

I own these because I have a internet in fire-arms, and I enjoy taking them to the range and shooting them every week.

Do most people have to own a AK-47? No, of course not..and most people don't, but do I want to own a AK-47/Allowed to own one? Yes, and that's the part that really matters the most. It's different in the states, but the 2nd Amendment gives me the right to own that fire-arm, weather it be for self defense purposes or recreational purposes.

It is a semi automatic rifle, not a Automatic rifle. Those are regulated with required licenses needed to purchase and own one.

    Thanks for the post.

I myself don't own guns, seeing that my country is strict about that. Although they do have a VERY small gun club, but the guns that you buy can't be kept in your house but in the gun club's armory, costs about like what, $3k/Year or month? I'm not sure.

Well since I don't own a gun, if I had the option to, I would own a handgun. Should be easy to handle, I guess.

I don't currently because of the UK's super strict laws on firearms.

I wouldn't mind an M16 and a Glock perhaps. I'd get an M4 if I could, great gun.

Glocks are tupperware and m4 and m16 more or less the same gun... they are just ar's..

.22 is pretty much my favorite caliber. Its cheapest to shoot, little to no recoil and doesnt make your ears ring for days should you go out without earplugs.

Very nice, I am putting together a new tack driver 5.56 AR15 now, putting it together part by part, already got the match lower and stock/2 stage trigger.

I do own 3 Mosins, Dated at 1928, 1923 and 1925, I bought them when they were literally $80 each, and $70 if you bought more then 1.

That's intense, I can't imagine having to pay that much for a years worth or even by the month!

    Sounds legit.

M16 and M4 are essentially the same thing, barrel length, different gas system...etc, but you would just want to buy a AR15, which is the civilian version of those rifles.

Nice, I own a .22 as well, long rifle for plinking and having some fun at the range.

    Yeah...I wouldn't own a glock personally, all about them .45 ACP's.

I love my colts, commanders, combat and standards.

And yeah, I do agree even though I enjoy the kick of a nice rifle from time to time, 30-06 will always put some hair on your chest.

    Thanks for posting everyone

I missed the boat on uber cheap mosins, pawn shop arond here bought a pallet of them. Pm me where you get ammo lol , im looking into some milsurp for ak and
    osin.

Ive been toying with the idea of cobbling together my own ar but have been distracted. Mainly toying with the hi power, polished all internals, removed magazine safety (this alone made trigger about 4lbs lighter and took allll the grit out) ground down a hump in the ramp on the barrel so it takes hp's better. Its a real shooter now. Im looking to bust into the .45 acp world soon with the 1911. Looking into rock island armory 1911 tactical, its got novaks shoots well and is >500ish. Any experience with em?

I get it from Gunbroker or the Armory, I stocked up years ago when it was $85 for the spam can of 440 Surplus Russian Rounds, I got like 10 spam cans full that probably won't ever be touched, the Mosins were just because they were so cheap..I couldn't turn them down.

Making a Ar15 from match quality parts is so much fun to me. Start with that quality mil spec lower and just buy a 2 stage RRA lower kit, then go with the inner tactical Magpul stock...work up to the bolt carrier, till your up to the most important part...The barrel.

Shed no expense for a great barrel.

Nope, I only own Colt .45's honestly, a colt loyalist.

2 Colt Commanders, one brushed nickel and one black chrome.
1 Colt Combat, this is my beauty...I got it for a steal of $600 on black friday.

and then the others are all .40's, and I am buying a glock soon.

    I am really into optics to...Trijicon <3.

I am north american, but here in Canada we just heat up maple syrup and fling it at the eyes instead of resorting to guns.

I like the 5'' 1911s colts just out of my feasable pricerange unless i just stumble onto something. Im very much a fan of brownings designs (hence that hi power) and steel frame pistols so im not too incredibly picky on the make. Im also looking for a cz75.

Back to ar's, whats one like you are talking about building run? No optics, just bare bones ar

Man...mine are expensive, match quality..Cheapest one I got is about $1750.

    We are talking about...

    Mil spec Stripped Lower: $100
Match Quality Lower Kit(2 stage trigger Rock River): $150
    A high grade barrel....(1:9 Twist, 16" normally): $350-600
Upper Kit with Match Quality Bolt Carrier: $850
    Magpul Tactical Stock: $100

That is a tack driver though, at 300+ yards I can hit about a 1" grouping, possible a little less now.

Never owned one nor had a use for one, ever. I've shot guns but I couldn't tell you what kind, a friend of mine hunts pheasants & uses them. I honestly have no interest in them at all. I don't see what's so special or good about guns. Cause more problems than do good.
