Internet Friends.

Hey guys! I was just curious, have any of you made friends online that you have either met in real life or just been friends with for a long long time? A friend of mine named Chris i met in duel arena on Runescape 7 years ago. We were both pures and did a couple duels for fun and i was so young and the kind of person asking everyone i found for their msn and if they wanted to be friends and all that shit back then.

We talked once or twice on msn back then and after like a couple months we stared talking frequently and then after a while he just stopped logging on for like a year and when he then finally logged back i asked him where he went and all that and he told me that he had just not been online much, after we catched up i added him on skype and we have been talking pretty much everytime he has been online since then and today both of us choose to get back to runescape together to level up 2 characters to do godwars together.


Does anyone have any stories like this about people they met online please tell!

 

I've met Eugene / HeavenLord in real life when he went to Japan at the same time as me. We chilled in Tokyo for a day.

I also have a friend I met online (back when my ex forced me to play TinierMe *shudders*) who I talk to very regularly who I'm fond of, but apart from that not really.

 

Knew this guy from soulsplit rsps, he was a fellow host. We were close for 1 year, sharing secrets, splitting huge pots, letting each other log & play the accounts. His account was easily worth $2000+.

So one day i got cleaned. Told him to sell 100b to me for $300. Sent him the $ & he ran. Never heard from him ever again.

 

I got a few close friends I've met over the years and a few friends I made in a clan. One I've known from Battlescape since about 2008/09 and we still talk and whatnot and he lives across state from me. I plan on meeting up with a few clanmates of mine soon or a later, one who lives in NYC might be able to stop by and see me when I go down there in a few weeks. There's going to be a meetup in Canada but since I don't have a passport I won't be able to make it sadly.

 

I met a guy who used to sell some auths at rsbots.net and started talking to him about bot locations and stuff till one day I asked for his skype and we started chatting about dungeoneering/pking and such.

i've met loads of people online, through forums, rs, xbox, w/e. however usually i lose contact with 'em after a couple months/years so I don't bother with online friendships

 

short answer, yes met a mother/daughter that i used to play DaoC with back in the day.

 

I've met several people IRL that I initially met online, and I'm still friends with them to this very day.

 

I've been friends with a group of people who I met on League of Legends for about 2 years now. Went down to Florida this summer and was staying about 15 minutes from where they all live (They all knew each other IRL, but me and my friend who I went down with live in CT) and we chilled with them. I'm gonna try to go back down this summer. Some of my closest friends tbh. Talk everyday.

 

I've met a few guys who, if given the opportunity, I'd meet up with. Haven't met anyone yet, though.

 

A guy tried to lure me once on Runescape, and I ended up joining his f2p pking/delaying clan. We played together for quite some time and have been friends ever since. We are exactly the same age and live in adjacent states, but I doubt we'll ever meet up. Who knows.

 

I have meet with some guys that I know from MIRC and we re still friends.
