Free runescape membership?

Hey Guys! Before i use to be able to use some recruit thing on RS so i could pay Member on a character and get a free month on a second character created. Does anyone know if this was just something temporary or if it still works to make?

When was this?

 

It's the referral system, which as far as I know is still in place. You refer 'a friend' (your second account), and when 'they' buy membership you get a free month in return. If you log in on the main page and go to account settings, there should be a referral link in there somewhere. Then just register with that link and get membership on the second account - should add it free to the first one automatically.


I haven't bought membership in a while, it's all auto-renewing, so this may be wrong. But as far as I know this is a permanent thing.
