Help me with LoL?!

From my personal experience, the higher you climb, the more you can depend on your team-mates and rely on them to react in certain ways. Not always, but most of the time.

 

Thanks everybody, I've just downloaded LoL on my new PC. I wanna stick about in here and play it a lot!

Update! I played a game... and won!

I'm level 7, played one game in over a year and loved it.. I chose a random Hero (Lux), and stayed Mid all game, killing 4 heros and dying only once.. I'm tempted to make my own thread and keep you updated

What should I buy from the shop for my build ingame? I tend to buy stuff that makes my Health higher, is that the way? Or should I get health regen or armour or mana and att #HelpCrispyNotGetSlapped

 

Your build should reflect your champion. Lux tends to build full magic damage ("glass cannon" or "carry" build) but someone like Shen would benefit more from regen and health ("tank" build).

There is no 'right' way to build a champ, but you can get a good idea by looking up the champion on sites like www.solomid.net or www.mobafire.com. Lux tends to build one mana regen item early game (90% of the time it's a Chalice of Harmony) and then she proceeds to build AP items from there on out. A "final build" for Lux has about 500+ AP.

Thanks a lot. I think I'll stick with Lux and learn how to play her, although I did use another Woman character with 2 guns? I can't remember the name - I enjoyed that more so then Lux, but had better success with Lux.

Now, I really am a total noob.. what do you mean by AP? I was using Lux to tank with high health and what not, I assume I was doing it wrong... (Or not playing to her strengths) I'll try a magic damage build tonight - Thank you!

 

Jinx is the woman character with 2 guns. She's really good, but she's also fairly difficult to learn to play because she's such a high-priority target. You can't build hardly any defenses on Jinx or she's worthless, but at the same time she dies in 3 seconds to almost anyone.

AP is Ability Power. If you mouse over an ability and it shows a (+##) (in green color) it means that the skill gains power the more AP you have. Most skills gain 50%-100% of your AP. Orange-colored (+##) means it scales with attack damage (AD) instead.




Tanky Lux is definitely not playing to her strengths. Magic-damage lux is riskier, but it is how her skillset was designed. You end up being more useful to your team if you know how to play Lux as a "AP carry" instead of a tank. All of her abilities have range over 1000, which means she is almost never in the middle of the fight.

I've got like.. no Runes, how do I get them? And Masteries? Just by leveling up?

 

save your ip and buy TIER 3 RUNES at level 20. make sure you're buying tier 3.

you get mastaries as you level up. 1 per level

u shouldn't really worry about runes/masteries now. just learn the basics. but yes, you gain masteries based off of your level. So if you're level 7, you have 7 mastery points to spend. Once you level up to 8, you get 8,etc, maxing at 30.

If you want to learn how to play lux/build it, search it on youtube. Fastest and easiest way imo to get the basics down of any champ.

Don't buy runes until you are level 20. For some stupid reason Riot made three levels of runes, and you can only buy the max level rune at level 20. Spending points before you get to 20 is literally wasted.

Once you get to 20, I'd invest in enough runes to fill a couple of rune pages. You'll want at least one page you use for AD-based champs and one page for AP-based champs.

What? Dont listen to this guy Lmfao. Fizz has no abilities that scale off AD.

Keep playing Lux, she is a really strong champ, can be played mid/support.

I like turning botlane into a kill-lane with Leblanc/Lux, but you'll do stuff like that when you know the game better
