Two accounts at the same time. One was botting fletching at pest control (I had been botting this account a lot the last few days), and the other was a fresh account which was picking flax (had only been doing so for 6 hours). The account that was fletching was on an empty world and has a total level over 1100, so I was wondering if this account was banned because I was botting with the other one? A fresh level 3 botting flax is obviously not going to last long, and if I was botting on another account with the same ip address, jagex could most likely pick this up i'm guessing? It was only a 2 day ban so i'm not worried. Just annoyed because I think it was linked to the flax bot.
    Thoughts?

It's very common for bans to be linked to other accounts on the same IP address. I find that after one of my accounts receives a ban, the others do VERY quickly. That's why I recommend using VPN's with virtual box's or VPS's. Also, remember to delete the random.dat files if an account has been banned and you're switching IPs.

Dam, yea I really didn't think that my main account would have been banned by itself, I knew it was the other account :/ I've always botted 24/7 for the last 2 years and never been banned. Why did I think goldfarming on a level 3 was smart lmao.

How can I go about changing my ip address so I can bot again? (Yes I already googled how but I'd rather hear from someone on sythe).

Thanks for your help Anthony, what do you mean about the random.dat files though?

EDIT: According to this site my ip address is now different to what it was when the accounts were banned. http://whatismyipaddress.com/ (the site showed a different ip an hour ago then i restarted my router and got a new one)
I don't have to do anything else regarding ip addresses now do I?

No you don't now. Some people have an ISP that is like that. Changing your ip being simply just unplugging your router.

You're lucky and must have a dynamic IP address. Confirm that the new IP address differs from the flagged one and the do the following:

start > computer > search for 'random.dat' > delete the files.

Reload Tribot/what ever you use to play/bot and you should be all good. I'm fairly sure that there's information about what accounts you've used on your computer in the random.dat file, that's why people suggest deleting them when necessary.

    Yes.

Before starting runescape or any botting client go to "User" in your computer files.

Find the user your using, probably "Admin".

There you will see folders and files,

There's a bunch that are .dat files and folders.

    Delete all of them.

These files and folders are used by Jagex to record information about you. Could be from simple graphic settings to other accounts you've used. No one really knows much about them except the more jagex knows about you, the worse for you when botting.

Delete these folders and files before loading RS or a client every time.

Don't delete all .dat files within C:\Users\Admin(or what ever it is) as there will be some non RS related ones. I think that's why it's safer to just delete random.dat. Not sure if any account specific info is kept in other .dat files though? Anyone know?

You should delete all .dat files. Every day I make 30-50 new files. The only activity on my servers is botting.

Deleting all does not hinder you from doing anything.

Yeah if you delete the .dat files in this location, you'll be good (there's two at the bottom in this picture):

Ok, My ip address is 100% different to what it was half an hour ago and I deleted all random.dat files. I should be good to bot again? :p

EDIT: Also I deleted everything to do with jagex/runescape from my pc just to be sure. I'll only play through the osbot/simba clients now :p

    The folders too.

My rule of thumb is to always delete anything jagex related

    The caches, folders, and files.

There's absolutely nothing on a computer except Java needed to play Runescape. Anything else is unrelated to my needs and only helps Jagex identify my methods and means.

    __

And yes, your good to go!

Yeah but if you're super precautionary you'll have to redownload the cache each time you want to do it. I guess that's okay if you have a good internet speed though.

You should be good ;). Good luck with it.

Interesting, are all first offenses now 2-day bans for botting?

Ummm, restarting your router for ISP does change your ip, but it doesn't change where your location is and that's how jagex ip bans you, they use the location part of the ip. E.g all of HMA's servers have been flagged by jagex, this isn't hard for them since all the servers are located in the same building/place they only need to get the location prefix then ban the ip address. I know what I am saying isn't that in-depth but this is little of what I know of the subject and I am learning everyday. Just wanted you to know that even if you restarted your router jagex can still ban you and probably soon will.

Is it really so surprising? Pest control bank is the only bank you can access in a random-free area, so why would anyone use this bank over the others? The reason is obvious, not just to everyone with common sense. Do you not think Jagex is smart enough to know this is a heavily botted area?

Your second account also has a target on its back simply because of the sheer number of gold-farmers picking flax.
