Question about Steam

When playing a game you downloaded on steam does it put you in with players who did not get the game from steam?

Such as DC Universe Online, will it allow me to play with non steam members? Or is it only steam members?

 

I think all games on there you can play with whether or not they are on the Steam version.

 

Okay, jw cause the game I was looking at said there were only 1000 players online, was just wonderin if that was only gonna show 1000 people or everyone worldwide

 

On the Steam community hub? That just shows how many people ON STEAM are playing. It is not the entire game.

 

if its a game liek rift etc you play with everyone, the only time you wil lbe on with only steam users, if you join a steam community server.
