Who would like to see a vanilla sythe.org minecraft server?

well this server would also be a place my viewers on my stream would come into aswell, which if other people stream, could pretty much keep people coming in, also note that to get flying you would have to donate like $5 to the server to help keep it hosted, which means it in long run it shouldnt cost sythe a thing.

that would be a perk for donating which means not everyone would have it, only those who want it, which means you, yourself would still be true vanilla.

 

Unless its going to be advertised somewhere along the top or in a place where everyone can always see it then this will die after a few weeks at the most.

Given I was frequently online for the initial server, I would be willing to participate with this.

I will play regardless of n4n0's protests.

 

I never understood the allure if minecraft, especially if you cant greif. I mean wheres the fun in not smashing peoples shit.

 

i've always said the same thing and i started playing it like thursday i think and im enjoying myself. i want to hate this game so bad, but its hard not to like it.

well obviously it wouldn't be allowed but it's undetectable with vanilla...

there are plugins thst help flag people who might be, and then its admins jobs to check the logs to see how they are mining etc. it would be a hands on.

 

Most plugins are shit for detecting those mods, and there are no logs which will help you find cheaters. No admin is going to sit down and spend 5 hours looking through a block changelog to monitor somebody's mining history.

If people want to cheat, they will and there is no way around it unfortunately.

Not really you just keep an eye on how many diamonds new players are getting, it takes like 10 minutes a day to do.

 

as part of the OG mc server id support this.

 

I'd check in a bit providing there was a guide written on how to obtain minecraft and set it up on PC (only got in on le xbox lol)

 

Hawkeye plugin = grief detection. very easy tools with ready-to-go permissions.
AuthMe = plugin that provides a system to allow users to make an account and log in with a private password. In other words, this plugin makes the server cracked.
Can't remember the plugin that restricts people from mining a load of diamonds.

Hawkeye needs a Mysql database, so that might be good to watch for when setting up the server.

Just suggestions, if somebody finds better plugins, just let them know.

Just an fyi, people will grief hardcore if the server is 100% vanilla, just like last time. This has probably been mentioned but i cba to read the entire thread.
