First attempt at photoshop

My first time using photoshop and i tryed to create a sig and the result was :



any tips? what ya think for my first attempt

 

It's not bad. Focus on the basics, flow, depth, blending and composition. There are tutorials on deviantart to help you further progress.

Just one tip though, try to keep the original image ratio. this looks VERY VERY stretched to me.

Not bad, seems to be a bit stretched though, and definitely could use some blending. For a first attempt though, you're on the right path.

 

If its a signature, you probably want your name somewhere in the image. I cant really tell whats going on in the background, but the color scheme works. Maybe try make the background more revealing. All I see right now are tumble weeds haha.

Wow looks great man. I'm not a Photoshop critic by any means because this is much better than I could do my first try I'm sure. How long did it take you?

If it makes you feel better this is my new background on my cell phone.

 

Could you upload the original its hard to compare. Work on blending your textures and tones. Good start. Keep working at it.

 

Well, my first signature in photoshop try were a simple stock image with text.
So this is especially good if it is your first.
As many other have said, the render is quite stretched, you should work on the flow and blending.
