I'm making tacos.

5:35 AM Washing dishes so I can cook the stuff... prepping seasonings.

5:39 AM Beef is cooking, seasoning still being made... shells going into the oven.

5:49 AM Beef cooked, drained, pan washed... water added.. seasoning time! =p.

Added too much water...

6:16 AM Tacos consumed.

Tacos complete! Pictures? Oh gosh lol they aren't pretty.

I used the amount of beef I use for 4 tacos and made 5 =o. Not sure if I should have done this lol.

 

did you use a whole block of beef or minced?

 

next time replace water with brown stock and season the meat before not after
also the shells are usually browned in a pan with a little sunflower oil.

This is all using cheap bought crap lmao budget tacos ftw. So just regular ground beef ya know.

I feel like seasoning the meat will keep it in the grease that I'm going to drain.

As for the shells, I didn't make them myself lol... bought them. 99 cents for 18 I was like why not =p. As for using stock, that might be a good idea lol I think I might have some.

Point is... I'm not a chef haha I just wanted to see how long it would take =p.

 

Lol, all i'm stating is a few pointers to make them a bit better next time.

if you used mince meat, you should have drained it before hand and seasoned it. as soon as the meat hits the pan that sizzling you hear is the "sealing" of the meat and when done correctly no juices/blood/impurities should run out ;p

also from the pictures, i would pop them for a few minutes in the oven in order to melt the cheese >_>

 

Yeah I drained it haha... but I was way too hungry lmao and I normally use a bit of lettuce as well =p. Those tacos were gone as soon as I took the pics lmao. I still prefer more meat, but it was fine lol... half a pound of meat for 5 tacos.

If by soft shell you mean flour... then no lol. Once you go hard, you want them all to be hard =p.

I have this too lol... this is where I'd use flour tortillas. I should make these though lol I was just talking to my friend who likes to eat "arti chicken" and I was like psssh I'll make a real chicken taco for you. Vegetarians...
