[smartcast]

Do you use it? If so, why?


Do you use it only on certain champions/abilities? If so, which?

Interesting to see who/how many does/doesnt.


Personally i only smartcast on Lee Sin Q/W/R / Vladimir Q.

I find it better to see the range of skillshots, hencewhy i dont smartcast ( only on lee as i have learnt the range of his abilities )

 

I use it on every champ, I think it is easier once you get used to it and improves your speed/accuracy of skill shots. I mean it's just one less click

 

I never, ever smartcast on any champion. I like aiming my own skillshots, and I like to think I'm pretty good at it

 

Likewise, I don't smartcast any abilities.

I even changed it so karthus/cass q were no longer smartcast.

As long as you know the range of your abilities, you should be fine.

It may not make a huge difference to some of you, but with smart-casting, it shaves down maybe half a second or sometimes a full second with comboing and it saves my ass a lot

You eventually get the hang of the pathing and everything, it just saves seconds for combos and stuff is all.

 

I've smart casted on all my champions for a while.

Im use to it, and i rarely mess up or do something unintended do to smartcasting.

To me, it's just easier and some champions where you need to use a lot of skills / items in a short span of time (ie leblanc or annie) it helps alot.

 

Smartcast makes you lazy (IMHO). I come from dota/hon so I don't use smartcast so much (only on some champions).

 

In my opinion, smartcasting makes gameplay a lot easier/effective, especially with skillshot champs.

 

I smartcast most champs. I learned it for Lee Sin ward jumps, and I decided I liked it better.

There are some where I turn it off. Orianna's Q, Cho's Q, Annie's W, etc. Skillshots that hare a small radius and are the start of an absurdly strong combo. Targetable abilities are always on skillshot for me.

 

I smartcast everything with few exceptions. Some examples would include veigars stun, Olaf's undertow, things that really shouldn't be smartcasted. I find that using smartcast allows me to focus more and have faster reactions times. Once you know the range and size of your skillshots I feel like smartcasting is the way to go.

 

Olaf's undertow IMO is almost necessary to smart cast. Since it is a variable cast range, it helps while chasing to just click where you want it.

 

I've never used smartcast, I like the ability to place my skillshots where I want them to make up for predictable movement from enemies.

 

I use smartcast on a few champs that I play a lot.

 

Not sure if any of you guys were aware that smartcast merely allows you to instantly use an ability and the aiming is done with the mouse as usual im confused by everyone saying 'i like to aim my own skillshots'

 

This.... Can't you still have everything displayed for all that stuff?

 

The only thing I don't smartcast is Rumble's Equalizer, other than that I think I smartcast everything. Most champs I have a feel for the range but it's something you acquire over time.

 

I always use smartcast, but keep range indicators on, That way, I can aim a really important skillshot AND learn my range due to the flashing indicator as well as quickly cast all my skillshot.
