    Thank you :)

Yeah man. I don't have any extra pieces available right now, but I can start making you one if you'd like. I haven't been making as many as I should lately, so I'm not sure how long it'll take for me to finish, but I can get started on yours when I get done with this one. Also you should check out etsy.com if you want to get an idea of what you might like or possibly order one on there if you want too. Just type in wrapped pendants.

Looks very intricate and time consuming. What time of metal is the wire?

Are you using gems or crystals?

They have all kinds of wires. Copper, brass, aluminum, etc. I mostly use copper. They come in all colors too. Once you start making the really nice ones, then it's better to order sterling silver and real gold wire online.

Also you can use any kinds of stones you want. If you're first starting out, then it's better to use cheaper rocks or beads. Once you start with the more expensive ones, then you should switch to raw or cut gems or crystals. You eventually need to learn how to identify gems some. My favorites are probably opals, fire agates, tourmalines, and aquamarines. You can find gem suppliers or order them on Ebay or other sites. Also quartz are good to start out with if you prefer raw gems because they're pretty cheap and look good.

They look great but I wouldn't have the ability nor the patience to attempt it. I do however wish you all the best in your venture.

Really cool. How long does the average one take you? Also how hard was the initial learning?

Thanks man. What kind of jewelry does she make? Wire wraps?

It varies on how much work I put into it, but I can complete one in 1-3 days. It's not that hard to learn, but it does depend on the person. You basically just have to look at tons of pictures of them, so you can get an idea of how to do it and the different style of wraps. It's hard to find progress pics, but you can. There are different ways to do it. You can just make several different wire wraps, then just wrap them around a stone. Just keep adding to it until you're satisfied. Once you start making the more intricate ones, it's best to build a frame first, then just wrap around it.

I definitely know what I'm giving everyone for Christmas this year :) It's a great hobby. A lot of money to be made too, especially when you start getting really good and using nice gems. My friend doesn't even take less than $300 for a custom and he even mines his own gems. Here is some of his work.

This is one of the cheapest ones he makes, which goes for $300.

The rest of these go for $600-$1,500.

This page is helpful. You can post on there if you have a question and people will answer it. There are also some videos of some basic wraps. Just check out people's Facebook who makes them, so you can get an idea.

    https://www.facebook.com/LearnToWireWrap?ref=br_tf

All you need is a pair of pliers and wire cutters. I also recommend getting a spring clamp. It helps a lot. Also don't buy cheap wire from Wal-Mart. Just go to craft stores like Michaels and get the better stuff. You want wire that bends pretty easy, but stays in place at the same time. Around 26 gauge wire is the best for wrapping and 16 gauge and up for the base.
