[HELP] Static within my brand new headset

    Hello everyone,

got a problem with my new headset: Tritton true 5.1 ( PC/XBOX/PS3 )
I have it connected on my mainboard of my pc: Sabertooth 990FX GEN2.0

When i start a game, or use steam overlay i get allot of static. Sound like a dog who growls behind me.

Now i have read that these problems can accure sinds the HS has a inbuilt soundcard en my mainboard has ofc a soundcard. that this is a conflict?

Any other users here had the same or related problem and how did you solved it?

    Any suggestions are welcome:noworry:

How are you connecting the headset?
Via USB or the 3.5MM jacks?

I don't know how much this will help,

I bought a Tritton headset for my xbox, if I plug my headset in, with a wired controller I get terrible static, if I use my controller wireless it's perfectly fine.

Wel thats something like i have only with steam overlay:
Not ingame, no static and sound is good!
But even when i use my mouse or go ingame/use overlay i get static.

It is somehow related and just a few others have the same problem and it is not a malfunction in the headset..

Really shit problem for a 149 euro headset.

You have all the recent updates to your hardware? Like motherboard, soundcard etc?

Did all that! But i just found this: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/324159-28-hear-mouse-moving-windows-speakers

Very usefull info. Since my headset also uses power from PC i am going to switch that to a external powered USB hub. Seems like there is a problem simetimes with the flow of the "ground" connecters. If it works i will post it here so other people can fix it too!

    Anyway, thanks for the reply's!^_^
