Need help choosing my first tattoo

Could've gotten a tattoo a while ago as my parents don't give a fuck anymore. Saying that I want something that looks nice. I'm getting it under my right shoulder.

Not interested in:

1. Chinese scriptures/sayings
2. Dragons, monsters any of that shit
3. I love mom.. etc

I was thinking of tribal, but it's too common. I may get it if I can't decide.

Would be greatly appreciated if you could suggest tattoo's to me. Pictures help tons as I need it.

Nah lol. Would never get my gf initials, or anyones for that matter. A rose, too girly for me and a tiger would be too expensive. Looking for something slick and nice to the eye. Maybe even something with a meaning.

 

what about an eagle? maybe it can have like 2/3 words around it that mean something to you

 

An eagle is too cheesy for me. Rather not go down the list of animals.

 

if you want something which imo looks frickin awesome get a sleeve tribal tattoo or one that covers your shoulder up to your elbow

Things that interest me. Masks, was looking to get 2 masks, one that smiles and the other that is sad/mad. That seemed pretty cool. Not sure about it though since one of my friends had it. Angels, zodiac signs, my name in another language. Don't want to put all my interests as I rather not get them tattoo'd on me.

but your tattoo cannot be shown or seen before the blue line or before it by a bit so its okay it doesn't affect you if you wanted to get a job plus your going to be wearing something over so obviously no ones is going to see it unless you want them..

 

Do you have anything that you hold any type of personal significance to? My husband has a tattoo of a Miner hat with a pickaxe and shovel crossing in the background with his Dad's dates on the side of the helmet. He comes from a family of miners. I also have a Pikachu tattooed on my ankle because it was something from my childhood I wanted to hold on to.

My best suggestion though is this: If you have to ask, you are not ready yet. I went through the same thing with my first tattoo and I regret it.

 

Not interested in a sleeve. For many personal reasons other than it being unprofessional. It would be too expensive and wouldn't look forward to going back because he messed up.

Thought about this for 2 years now. I've tried thinking of my life significances. Still haven't made up my mind about something specific. I know about the consequences and am constantly reminded by my mom lol. I'm just looking for something nice to go with my muscles. :c

I sort of got the sense you don't really want the usual things people get as a tattoo, but props to you for wanting to be a bit more original.

 

Don't do a tatoo just because you want one. Do it with a meaning, or else it has no sense doing it. Also, do it somewhere where it will not be visible in any workplace, except stuff like lifeguards and such where you pretty much have no clothes at all.

 

Not a fan of that. Doesn't have that aesthetic feel.

I want one because I would look nice having one. I've always wanted one since I was around 13. I don't want to get a tattoo where only I can see it. I'd like others to see it too when I'm wearing a T-shirt.

You don't have to have a meaning to your tattoo, it's just common that people do. You can get any job as long as you can cover it up.

Symbol because I am a firefighter
Find stuff that doesn't directly have a meaning to the regular person, it makes great conversation starters when someone's asks what they mean
