    When does Season 4 start?
    We're going into preseason at the moment, but we will receive a patch (hopefully soon) which will come with the S4 changes, that's when it should start.

    Don't worry! I'd say before EUW if there is a different time though.

    When does Season 4 start?
    Preseason is supposed to last for about a month and it will begin in about a week or so.

    So will there be no ranked games while the we are in preseason for like a week or however long it lasts?

    they will take part of your mmr after preseason ends I think but once preseason ends you will need to go into placements again

    When does Season 4 start?
    Everyone will be able to play ranked games during preseason to get used to the new updates and whatnot, and they will affect your MMR.

    This effect will be lessened by a soft reset between Preseason 4 and Season 4, though.

    Here's a pretty decent Reddit post with a lot of Rioter comments explaining some things about Season 4 and the ranked system.

    The Preseason starts on 11/21/13 at about 9:00 AM PST, if that helps.
