In Need For Paypal Seller - Really Need

Im in need of an experienced paypal seller, someone that preferebly deals with game gold or something. I think something really bad is going to happen to me, I really really need to have someone who is expericned and can help me out, or at least give me advices on what to do.


Please, you have no idea how bad this is for me. If anyone out there is willing to give me a friendly hand, please don't hesitate in contacting.

Is it debt collectors? If it is they are never ones who have any legal power. Don't answer their questions because you don't have to, tell them they are no longer allowed to come to your house or call you or you will report them to the police. They will give up. They just buy debts off paypal for pennies to the dollar and try and hassle people who don't understand their lack of authority and end up paying. All they can literally do is knock on your door and ask you to pay it (until you tell them they are not allowed to knock on your door anymore), that's as far as their power goes. But if you start answering their questions and confirming details to them they may be able to put a court case against you if the amount is big enough. Although it still might not hold up because you signed nothing, a ticked box on a website doesn't constitute a legally binding contract.

 

To summarise he received multiple chargebacks as unauthorised payments. After he told me the story (idk if he wants it to personally tell people) and it's 99.99% clear that he was indeed scammed via funds from hacked paypal accounts.

If so, welcome to the club! I've lost 1000$ from this exact scam. Noting you can do, PayPal is a horrible company. I your pp isn't verified, just walk away.. But if it's linked to a bank/cc you will be forced to pay it back. After 2 weeks negative they will begin the calling. Threatening with collections.. They came after me for 25$ lol. Sorry it happened mate

 

Collections agency's can hold your pay, also yes "checking a box" is a legally binding contract. Hence why runescape can go after websites selling their gold.

 

Did you already lose the unauthorized disputes? When dealing with unauthorized disputes there is not really much you can do other then sending in any information the buyer gave you (id that matches paypal owner name, etc.). Other then that all that paypal can do is see if the money was sent from an unauthorized ip/location; if it was unfortunately you will most likely lose the dispute. How much $ are we talking about?

 

I would contact your bank and plead theft.

 

You can file for fraud. That's pretty much the only thing you can do. You are not protected under paypal for virtual goods.

 

there isn't much you can do now like I said but in the future NEVER take paypal from anyone you cant trust 100%.

 

I have located the user IP adress as he is still active with me on skype, and I've sent an email to paypal customer support giving full information, as ID adress, IP locator, Screenshots and chat-logs. I stated that I will colaborate with whichever is needed and I've stated that I will help them in any investigation that might lead to making this person stop what he's doing. This is where my last hope is residing.

None of the complaints have been finished investigation, but as it has been said before, it's pretty hard to win one of those if it was about virtual goods.

 

As I've stated I've given full information about the guy who scammed me, including IP adress and IP look up through resolvers and command line using "netstat -nb", these IPs match and I'm hoping they cross-match with the user login in those accounts, and therefore proving that I was indeed a victim of this, instead of part of the scam.

We're talking about 4 digits.

 

Can you PM me the skype username of the guy that screwed you? Maybe we could unite and join forces to fix this, if its the same guy.

 

Honestly man you need to call paypal if you haven't and explain the situation. They will be much more willing to help you over the phone.

 

Yes, that's what I will do. I have to gather up enough cash for the phone bill tho, phone call from Portugal to Ireland will cost me a lot, sadly.

 

If it was a stolen PayPal account that they used, you will lose the chargeback since it was stolen funds and the money doesn't belong to you. If it wasn't a stolen account and the guy is just tried to file a dispute you might have a chance if you call PayPal. Also check if is a "Unauthorized Claim" or "Chargeback". If it's a chargeback there is no chance you will win.
