What evidence do you need for player auctions?

If I sell a santa hat on player auctions what evidence should I take that I can show them of me giving them the hat, if a buyer decides to try and dispute it (after they have been given it).

 

I video record all my playerauction transactions. You need proof of delivery so what I do with runescape trades is record the entire process of me trading the gold to the customer.

Edit- after the trade is done, you cant do much because you cant get proof of delivering the item.

 

Video proof is best. If not, pictures are your next option.

 

As a seller can you use an unverified paypal to have your money sent to from PA? I might not have the means to get verified on paypal.

 

I think you can via paypal balance. Without it being verified you wont be able to add funds yourself as you need a bank account to do that. If you do want to remove limits and send payments freely then I strongly advise linking a card (seems you cant). You would have to gain funds on paypal through selling things or do money exchanges for example $100 wu for $100 pp (excluding whatever fees you have to pay).

 

Seeing as pa asks for basically the same info needed to verify your pa as pp needs to verify your pp, just take the extra step and get your pp verified as well.

Make sure you record everything and when selling don't forget to add the money in fees and add it to what you would normally charge.

 

Yes, you can. However, after a certain threshold, paypal will request valid ID proof and a utility statement from you, to verify you are who you say you are. Which in turn is essentially being verified. If you don't comply with what PayPal ask for, in most cases they will freeze your account/funds for 180 days. After said 180 days, you will then be able to withdraw your funds.

I suggest you get your paypal verified.

Take picture of you in second screen, you accepting trade and you right clicking them after you accept. Also confirm delivery while in second screen so they don't cancel order when your about to them.

 

I don't understand. I thought all I need to activate my account and be able to sell stuff is a valid phone number? What is the difference between being verified and unverified on PA?

 

After a couple of transactions/during your first larger transaction you will be REQUIRED to become verified in order to continue making purchases/sales.

To verify my PA account I'm pretty sure I just emailed them my driver's license. If you're not of age ask your parents/a sibling if they'll help you out?

To verify Paypal I think you just need to put in your card details and confirm the amount of a payment they send to your bank account.

 

to verify paypal you have to have a bank account linked with it. I believe with a card it still remains unverified.

 

s'what I meant by that, they send like 0.04 and you confirm the amount to link it to your bank.. at least that's what I did a few years ago

 

At what point do you need to verify a PA account? I'm unclear on this there doesn't seem to be anything on their site about it. Just so we're clear verify means sending them a picture of photo ID, not just validating my cellphone?

Sorry for the robot-like questions... I scouted their site for info on this and have nothing. I am getting a phone soon and if I need photo ID too I will have to get access to my passport or something and should start asking for it once I know for sure.

 

I was a buyer on PA and I've never had a phonecall (just gave them my number), in order to buy something they asked me to e-mail them photo ID.

This was over a year ago, may have changed slightly.
